I don't really like him personally, but I acknowledge that he was an effective politician who cared more about pragmatism than being popular.

he's like all the rest of them, pretends to dig in his heels to make his voters think he's fighting for them and then winds up voting for stuff and passing it anyway. they just give the illusion they are against stuff but they are all owned by the same people and they pass what they are told too eventually.
