But I think the General Assembly in the UN will get the power to throw Israel out of the UN General Assembly and make Palestine a full member. Also it will make cases in other countries for imposing embargos on trade with Israel easier.
Any state that is accused in the ICJ is granted to have one judge in the panel (for some reason - I assume to continue arguing their case in the deliberation).

Several medias here in Norway have noted that Israel loosing their seat in the General Assembly and Palestine becoming full member are potential outcomes.

I don't know how the UN/ICC works off of the top of my head, so I would have to look it up. I'm still fairly certain that the ICC can't do much to countries that aren't signatory to it (Including the USA, China, Russia and Israel), and that the UN can't do much if permanent security council members (including USA, Russia, China) veto it.

It shouldn't be hard to prove that Israel is doing genocide though, not only because of the number of people they've killed and displaced, but also because of their explicit expressed intent to depopulate Gaza and force Palestinians into neighboring countries. Mass murder and displacement with intent to remove an ethnicity from X territory is considered to be genocide under international law (international law that was written for the protection of Jews after WWII).

What's funny about this whole situation is that white Apartheid South Africa was pro Israel, and Jews pushed to end apartheid. Now the black South African government is anti-Israel, and people use South Africa as a model for how apartheid in Israel could be ended.

Not only that, but the self-defense argument is bullshit. You don't kill +22k civilians (half of which are children) as "collateral damage". Their intention from the get-go was to vengefully punish the Palestinian people as a collective for the events of October 7th, and they've verbally expressed intent to force Palestinians out of Palestine.

I was actually impressed by how eloquently the South African side argued their case. They did their homework.
