I hate driving a wedge between denominations but one of my Orthodox friends unironically believes >pic related. Besides having some preposterous elements (like Catholicism being put on the same level as atheists, even though Catholic theology is mostly similar to Orthodoxy), the scaling is cited by him as an excuse for unchristian behavior. My friend's method of "proselytization" to everyone is being extremely obstreperous to everyone he meets, shitposting constantly to get a rise out of people and to boost his own ego. He's completely unconcerned about driving people away because of the way the "scoring" works, as he thinks it inconsequential if someone is driven away by his personality into becoming a total degenerate instead.
How should I talk him out of this or is he deluded enough to be a lost cause?

its just another 'works get ya to heaven' thing. There are countless others doing similar, including all the humanistic views. These people ignore the truth of the Word of God, but that's not new either.
There are so many different scripture verses on this. Maybe read through the first few chapters of Romans for some good places to start. People who think they can measure up to a Holy and Perfect God often don't think about what that actually means. Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God (a book) was/is very effective for pointing that out.

Are all these various sects of christianity just a jewish trick to divide and conquer?

no, its literally people believing whatever they want, rather than searching out what God says in the Scriptures. Jews have the same issue (probably moreso)

Personally, I don't mind OP's thread or question, and like that it was asked.

Sometimes helping oneself involves helping others, especially because no one is perfect and everyone has different abilities, and is at different levels in their lives for various things.
People (and stallions/mares) aren't isolated individuals - they're part of a living organism here on Earth and beyond. Acting like everyone is completely alone doesn't make sense. Even when isolated, everyone is still connected.

To comment on OP's post - if anyone is driven away and into degeneracy by some lazy religious zealotry by a single individual, then degeneracy is where they were going to end up anyway.
Sounds like he's running away from his fears, and not dealing with them properly (personally I suggest he commission more R34 of Aryanne and Applejack, but that's just my own bias).
There's actually a lot of good information on dealing with fear in the Bible, I wonder if he actually read a good portion of it by now - probably not.

How should OP talk to him? Leave religion out of it, and be a friend to a fellow stallion/human and try to help him with his fears - help him help himself and become stronger, and more able to disconnect from the toxic system that's currently crashing/closing in around every living thing.
Easier said than done of course, but that's probably the best way to approach things in my opinion. Neither OP or the friend are probably "qualified" enough for serious Bible discussion (nor am I BTW).

Most people in cults or cult-like mentalities often return to normal when they're disconnected from the sources that influences them into doing that behavior. I would be careful though. Desperate people can jump into cult-like mentalities all on their own, and not just because of the internet: Paranoiacs have existed long before the debut of the internet. It's just that the idiot jews are giving people legitimate reasons to be paranoid, and that's far worse.

If it turns out you cannot help him, then just help yourself instead. It sucks, but it's better than letting him drag you around.

Jews could do it, but they're really suffering from the same problem too since the Orthodox Jews are the ones who are the ones that do all the shit the /pol/ boards hate.

Most of these tactics align with devilish forces, the jew just happens to be a useful idiot.

The biggest problem with the Religious is when they cherry-pick quotes and scriptures convenient for how they feel, and treat it as holy truth that must not be tainted- even if there is scripture that directly conflicts with their own dogma. The bible, for all it's worth, a wonderful source, but it's still the word of man interpreting the word of God, and is subject to miscommunication because of lost context throughout the millenia.

Communicating directly with God is the best way to actually understand the word of God.

The orthodox are mystics who have more in common with their pagan ancestors than they do with Roman Catholics or protestants.

OP here. I'm hoping he can be put on the right path as he is highly intelligent, moreso than I am, and generally very based as well as motivated. His issue is that he has refused to reign in his personality problems around other people. My hope is that he will mature out of his edgelord phase, and I'll push him to do meditation as well. At the very least this has made me recognize my own failings and encouraged me to fix them so I can be a better example.

It's only fair that I give an update. I cut off contact completely with my friend and after several months of waiting and prayer he's showing clear signs of changing for the better. A mutual acquaintance of ours has remarked how, instead of relentlessly bullying and mocking others for their faults, he is taking the effort to get his temper under control and to guide in reading the Bible. It's wonderful news indeed.
