I'm varying the format a bit tonight. I've got more bumpers as shorts to break up the music and animations, which are clustered, there are two bits of mainstream alt-news channels I popped in. I also dropped two ten minute videos of what might be an interesting comedy routine, based on the first minute I watched of it and skimming the first few comments when I scrolled down.

I'd like to show Drawn Together as the next show, but I'm still looking for a place to pipe it in from. They put some effort to take the full episodes down from YT, and I couldn't find it on Internet Archive, so I'm out of ideas in the short term. For the time being, I don't know exactly what I'd be streaming next. I'm hoping for something more on the lighthearted, silly side. Ideally something that also does classic political edgelord humour.

Halfway through Horsemas Month, and we're here again for our weekly tradition.

I was able to find a source on Internet Archive for our next weekly show. I picked CyberSix because it's relatively short (13 episodes), and is a great example of animation. It's got an interesting history, too, which I'll either use as fodder for the weekly introduction descriptions, or I might drop a documentary on it in the playlist one day.

Episode 01 - [Mysterious Shadow]
Science teacher Lucas Amato befriends his new coworker Adrian Seidelman. What Lucas doesn't know is Adrian is actually a female gynoid lab experiment known as Cybersix. They unknowingly work together to defeat Fixed Ideas, creatures created by Cybersix's creator Dr. Von Reichter, and prevent Reichter's son José from having counterfeiting scam.

Episode 02 - Data7 & Julian
Adrian meets Julian, a young orphaned boy forcing to steal anything from others. Cybersix reunites with Data-7, a black panther infused with the DNA and memories of Cyber-29, Cybersix's brother whom Dr. Von Reichter sends after her.

I don't watch a lot of comic dubs, so we'll see how this compilation works out for pacing. The first chunk of the night is occasionally broken up by the shorts of that game developer guy.

As Cybersix wonders what it would be like a date Lucas, Dr. Von Reichter summons Terra, a mud monster that can assimilate other abilities. After battling and attempting to reason themselves, Terra sacrifices himself to save Cybersix from the burning tower.

Episode 04 - Yashimoto, Private Eye
Local detective Yashimoto is blackmailed by José into solving the case about Cybersix's ego after his sister Ikkio and her new friend Julian are kidnapped. After successfully finding her, Cybersix convinces Yashimoto to stop the latest attack.

On the playlist for the first half of tonight is some short Christmas animations (including the new doubleWbrothers animation and a non-pony animation), an eleven minute video about Applejack trying to be the responsible one of the group, several PMVs, I'm using Man News as playlist bumpers, and there's a three minute video on some kind of texture pack release. It might be for minecraft or some other very blocky game with square heads. Maybe this will be boring and skippable, but it was released three months ago, so it at least counts as cultural news.

Episode 05 - Lori is Missing
Lori falls in love with Adrian, but is disgusted to find Cybersix at the apartment where she comes to the conclusion about the personality. When discussing this with Lucas, he feels betrayed by Adrian. However, the two reconcile and save Lori, while José and his minions fail to rob the bank.

Episode 06 - Blue Birds of Horror
When José uses the broadcast network for the flock of birds to invade the city, Cybersix and Lucas manage to restore the network and save the birds.

Welcome, welcome! To the first Stream Night of the new year! Have you picked one or two clear new years resolutions yet for this year?

Along with our usual assortment of music and short bumpers, I've put in a few small features. There are two different versions of The Magic Inside. One cover is in English from the channel MJ Smuv, and one is a Polish language cover by a man, from Sapphire Tune. Thee's an SFM MLP/Doctor Who animation Twice Upon A Friendship. It looks to be animated with the style of paper cutouts. It's from the channel Anachonistic ALLOS, and it just came out a month ago. Then there's one three minute video on Republics versus Democracies.

The main feature of the night is ToucanLDM's “Cuphead meets My Little Pony” animation. Ten minutes long, fourteen million views, this video coming from five years ago.

We'll round off that first chunk of the program with the improved version of Smooth Sailin' from BGM.

José discovers an eyeball creature draining consciousness from everyone and growing bigger. Cybersix freezes it with the tank of liquid nitrogen and the explosion destroys it, restoring the city's populace.

Two movies that got brought up last night were the Elephant Man and Wagons East.

The last stream night of the month. In celebration of that fact, I thought I'd pack this night with almost wall-to-wall PMVs. They're not all super-complex PMVs, but I'm sure they were all made with heart.

Did you know that we are exactly one day off of being _five_ Stream Nights in February? Ahh well. Maybe next Leap Year.

We'll be wrapping up Cybersix this week. In all that black and red leather. ... Think pony thoughts, think pony thoughts.

Anyway, we'll have the final episode of the season, Episode 13 this week. I'll pair this off with a discussion video on the series I thought was neat enough to bookmark at some point. There's actually a bit of a list: a history video to it, a random skit of someone getting abducted by aliens, an update on an unreal engine pony project, and I've used ScooterTrix's shorts (a few of them) as bumpers in the middle around music. BGM has something new to show us, which involved Fluttershy Still REALLY Likes Humans. What could she possibly mean by that, I wonder? I suppose you'll just have to hang on to your hats and wait with bated breath as we all find out together. Get to the bottom of that mystery.

Mystery. Like what the hell's going to happen at the conclusion of this CyberSix series! They haven't really seemed to give that much of a fuck about continuity from episode to episode, seeming more like a monster-of-the-week series so far. Still, it's got classic ans stylish vibes around here. I really appreciate how the character doesn't have a logo. It's a small detail, but I think it really sets the show apart.

The first of March, and the first of a new series. This might be a minor coincidence, but I still think it's nice.

I hope your weeks were enjoyable. It's been a very mild winter in my area this year, which has been nice on my end.

Playlist highlights of the week are “Project: UCRONIN ~ Full Short Film [My Little Pony Infection AU]” published on FunnyK16, a Cosmonaut Pony remix / cover PMV, a Valentines Special production by Scribbler that I probably should put in while people remember Valentine's Day, a Little Miss Rarity, and a general reminder that I am adding new items to the stream night playlist far faster than I'm taking them out. There are more animations and PMVs in here than I expected there to be.

The series I've picked for our next run is well made. It's an interesting couple of twists on an old concept with a neat art style and great character work in a setting that feels extremely grounded. This is more of a sober series, but it's got enough action going on that I don't think anyone will be disappointed. I remember it having a great soundtrack, but that might be rosy memories. It's one of those series' that gets “vibe” really, really well. The shots and characters have time to breathe. The series itself is only 12 episodes (and an OVA now, too? Neat.), so it shouldn't overstay it's welcome.

To those who've seen the series before, please refrain from major spoilers. This is a vibe series. Let it have it's moments. That includes confirming or denying

Sadly, this will be on Dub mode until I can spend the focus and time on getting livestreaming up and running. I don't want to risk being late because I'm screwing with something unnecessary. I'll mess with stuff after I get the night ready to go the quick and dirty way.

Hi guys. I've been trying to think of ways to bring a bit more /oil/ into the watch party / movie night.

Maybe I could start opening up the room on Thursdays for people to bring political videos jn to watch. A kind of "Thinking Thursdays" before the "Funtime Fridays".

The good vibes of the movie night are important, so the discussion from some of the political stuff happening could interfere with that.

I'm thinking of leaving these a bit unstructured to start with, and seeing where things go. There are 10-20 minutes YouTube videos and there are also multi hour long documentaries that are good education. We'll figure the format out as we go.

Remember, if you want to easily link video files, it should either be on a major streaming site, or a direct link to the video file, ideally in .MP4 format, since I don't think CyTube does softsubs that well.

Also, CyTube has had an increase in operation costs, so if anyone is in a position to toss a few coins into the hat to keep the site running, that'd be something to consider.

Regarding tonight's Thinking Thursday, I have plans, so I won't be able to attend. I'll make sure the playlist is open so people can pop stuff in.

There have been some developments in the Sweet baby inc situation such that it's serving as another onboarding point for some of the head-in-the-sand types to start to notice that woke nonsense isn't just mysteriously happening.

Looks like I was in enough of a rush that I forgot to open the playlist. Oops.

I know what day it is, you know what day it is, let's get these biscuits buttered.

I wanted to make this night a bit of a variety hour. We have several comic dubs, PMVs, and another update on that non-commercial VR fan project. There's multiple ponies, pony behaviours, and the map is a nighttime equestria map. There's more of this sort of content than music.

Nigel and Marmalade are used as bumpers in the latter portion of the night, and we've got a total of about four and a half minutes of an animatic of a 40k fight scene.

In Grimgar, well... We finally made it past the major event, so now our group of leftovers have to deal with the fallout, just as they thought they were starting to get better. Take your time and get immersed, if you can.

I'll try to stream on a lower bit rate from a smaller window or something. I think I have an internet upgrade coming up soon, so the next time I stream this it should hopefully go smoother.

I've decided that the Pony Theme of the week is “Fantasy”, and have therefore picked images from the Ponerpics Fantasy Community Collab 2024. Thanks to everyone who contributed to that.

The group is despondent after Manato's death and funeral. The boys decide that they cannot proceed without a priest in the party and, with Haruhiro acting as spokesman, recruit Mary.

Haruhiro and Yume discuss Merry's coldness and convince the rest of the group to try to make Merry welcome, leading to internal disagreement.

Having learned of Merry's past (and how similar it is to what they have experienced with Manato), Haruhiro and the group decide to continue befriending Mary, although some of them are still unsure if it's possible.

Episode 08 - In My Memories with You
As the group continues to hunt goblins, they resolve to not let any more friends die. Having improved their skills, the party decides to hunt the group of goblins who killed Manato.

It was cool how that first episode was about computers in cars being used to assassinate civilians who might be inconvenient to government or industry interests.

Just within the last couple of days, I saw a news story where something like this was mentioned as a possibility, and the ability of law enforcement to remotely drive any car that has a computer managing the engine in it was mentioned in the discussion.

Cars with a lane keep assist feature can steer themselves to a degree. Cruise control can force you into a certain speed.

It's April 19th. Do you know what makes this day special? Because I don't. It IS right close to April 17th, the international bat(pony) appreciation day. It's also right before the famous 4/20.

Regarding the night's structure, I started by adding a ton of short (and short-ish) videos, and mixing it down with music and animations. Algo at All features prominently on the music selection of the night. There's a Scootertrix video, an MLP in real life video, and a couple of SFM animations that are 6 and 9 years old respectively. We have a couple of bat related shorts, a body swap skit, the Celestia episode of My Tiny Pony, and I popped the original Cupcakes HD in just because.

I hope the strangeness of this Spring weather has been treating you all well enough so far. It can be a bit below freezing in the morning, and you could be sweating in the afternoon. It can be hard to dress for this.

In news of the Culture War, GW tried to make Custodes (the super-er than space marines guys) suddenly “always” have had female members despite decades of their own lore saying that they were an all-male group. The fans don't like that, and TL;DR it looks like the company might possibly die as a result. Remember, this is a setting with one of the cultural sayings of the human faction being “the rewards of tolerange are treachery and betrayal”. This feels like a significant enough pushback to draw morale from.

I neglected to put Arch's (formerly ArchWarhammer, who covers a lot of 40k content) April Fools day lore video in the last few streams, so I have it in this one. “Is Celestia Evil?”. Bumpers this week are sketches of a demented animation, and should be fun.

In Grimgar, we're following our crew into the underground to fight some kobolds. The episode descriptions make me think we might have seen these episodes already, so I'll post the episode descriptions for the next pair if it comes to that.

Haruhiro and the group take a day off. During dinner, Haruhiro suggests that they change hunting grounds to the Siren Caves, citing increased goblin activity at their present hunting area.

Episode 10 - I'm Not Fit To Be a Leader
Haruhiro and the gang reach Siren Mines and defeat a few kobolds as they work their deeper into the caves. Haruhiro has doubts about his ability to act as their leader.
