In 2019 some dude crafted himself guns in his own garage to do a mass shooting, it is pointless to "get rid of guns" because even if you DO get rid of ALL the guns, someone can just fabricate weapons in their own house, so what's the fucking point, you're just making the average citizen powerless against someone with a firearm.

Yes, there are a lot of explosions. You will need translation service for this article that describes the increase in bombings during 2019 that says the country had 236 bombings up until November 2019, while the entire 2018 "only" had 162. (Quite a lot for a country with about 10 million inhabitants.)

So another article describes how the Police rebrand bombings (bombdåd) to "ruination endangering the public" (allmänfarlig ödeläggelse) and the government proclaims the amounts of bombings have been reduced.
Taxpayer funded media "public service", follows CNN to the letter and always applies the proper angle instead of facts, but you can still find info about bombings (here labeled "sprängdåd" or translated "acts involving explosives").
