Sad state of affairs when EQG is unironically better written than the actual show it's based off of.

C'mon, you all knew this was gonna happen. I didn't watch a single episode in season 8 and I knew the propaganda would bombard through. The show is owned and ran by leftists now and they will not pass an opportunity to brainwash the audience if they can. The show ended in my mind in season 5.

Oh, I knew they were pushing it harder than a Tumblr landwhale's heart tries to pump blood, but I'd just forgotten how hard it was being pushed thanks to the hiatus. To think that we got here from Glimmer's introduction arc.
Far more insulting for me is the entire situation with Cozy Glow. I still can't wrap my head around why the M6 would just casually let someone who was so obviously a villain into the school like that bearing in mind I haven't yet watched the episodes where she was introduced. You'd think after encountering that exact breed of manipulator in the form of Starlight would have them wise up to this shit a bit more. Or better yet, Glimmer should have been able to pick her out from thirty-odd nautical miles away, considering her direct experience with this kind of shit. The one time where Poochie's Mary Sue powers and 'woe is me, i dun the evil' schtick could have come through!
Ultimately, this just comes back down to Haber and Dubuc's abysmal hack writing, shining through in all it's sub-fanfic tier glory. Not all that surprising, considering those two also wrote the S8 premiere.
