Am I reading this right? These guys are making a video game adaptation of Animal Farm (you know, the older brother of 1984 that serves as an analogy of and warning against communism), but their Twitter is full of whining about Trump and other conservative talking points, and comparisons between him and socialism as a whole. obligatory "I'm not saying disliking Trump is bad"; that's not the point
Either they think Animal Farm was praising socialism (which would explain them constantly bashing a major political figure who's vocally opposed to it) or they think Trump promotes socialism (implied by them comparing him to the pigs in Animal Farm, which are supposed to represent communist leaders). Either one would be "Hilary interprets 1984" levels of ridiculous. Or is the argument that capitalism and communism are two sides of the same coin? If so, it's still odd that their big anti-socialist statement doesn't call out any prominent socialists.

from what I understand, Orwell was very strongly anti-communist but he was still a believer in some kind of idealized socialism. People like to reference his work or call things "Orwellian" without really understanding who he was or what he was trying to say, kind of like Kafka.

And his passion for Orwell's message is to bring Communism back because in his mind Orwell probably tried to explain where Communism in Soviet went wrong so next time Communism will work. Also "grew up in communist Hungary" I bet he wasn't born before way after the fall of communism.
