The Italian elections happened today, with final results being counted soon
The election appears to have resulted in a hung parliament, with right-wing nationalist parties having performed well, but not so well as to take control of government

As long as that center-right coalition doesn't screw up and they continue to work for the people of Italia, their popularity will grow to the point that they might become dominant.

In fact, the election has already hurt the Euro since the right wing has likely taken a plurality. Sadly they need to have a 40% majority if they want to hold a coalition which looks like it will not happen since the wring wing coalition has a 37% coming out of the results.
