The NAB has had a rough life from the start. Each time the NAB was translate the Vatican sent it back because they messed it up by trying to modernize it. The NAB is part of the "Modernization" movement of the church that took place in the 60s and 70s. This "Modernization" movement is why most new parishes are missing the beauty and look of the past and why many old church have been "Renovated" and made to look like Protestant churches. Large family, Latin Mass, home Seton catechism from K-8, personal bible study, Jeff Cavins, Studied the writings and lessons of Monsignor Sawher, attended the masses of Father Perrone. If there was a being outside of a particular timeframe, how would you think of his interactions inside of the timeframe? Lets say that you have a video game and a human. The human is not in the video game, yet he has a character with an avatar. Is that avatar the same thing as the human? Similarly, is the human body known as Jesus the same thing as god? Would it be fair to call Jesus a puppet, or just a persona, or some kind of meat golem?

Under this interpretation, Jesus would be god while also having almost nothing to do with god. Things which exist outside of our understanding necessarily defy our definitions.

I have been reading through Revelation and I have come across something. I am probably just slow at catching on, but in Revelation 13:2 the Scripture mentions
And the beast which I saw was like into a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

I am just now catching on, but this sounds just like Daniel 7 in which Daniel dreams of 4 beasts one being like a lion, one a bear, one a leopard, and the last is the same beast as described in Revelation. It is clarified later in the chapter that these beasts are kings that rise up. Does this mean that the antichrist is from a merger of the kingdoms or a descendant of these kings?

Revelation, although very confusing to me, is one of my favorite books of the Bible to read. If anyone can help me understand it better, I would be most thankful.

There were many different religions, each of them was based on something, some of those old beliefs of course can be easily disproven using modern science, but how can we really just took one of those many, often contradicting religions and say that it's true?

However, I will point out to the words of Christ found in Matthew 18:20

If I am understanding this verse correctly, it means that God doesn't abandon those that meet in His name, no matter what church you go to. Though you may argue we are wrong to separate, God promises to never forsake those that are saved though faith.

I don't want to discourage you in being Catholic. We need good Christians to see the flaws and hopefully reform the parts that are very corrupt so that one day the Protestants and Catholics won't be bitter toward each other.

I hope you can learn to do the same and hope that Protestants will also root out corruptions in our churches and bring us all closer to God. I pray you will have patience with us. Matthew 18:21-22
