Art will never be replaced by AIs no matter how good they get.
Even if it becomes indistinguishable from human output, and it wont because machines cannot have original thoughts, manmade art will still have appeal. The appeal of "a human made this".

You're failing to see how AI can and has been an incredible tool for artists and memers alike.
And just because AI art may be good won't stop anyone from making their own art. Nobody's taking your pencils and paintbrushes away. You can always make art yourself.

It's not even a question of appeal, or attention or markets. Humans naturally make art. So long as there are people there will also be artists. Even if humans were living in fallout shelters below ground because some rogue AI overlord tried to exterminate them, they would still be drawing on the walls.

"Arguments" for the religious belief that technology will go haywire one day and oppress us itself ignores how it is being used to oppress us now.
You cannot prepare for a supposedly "inevitable" robot takeover with an AI of superhuman intelligence at the helm.
We would only have any hope of winning if we had self sufficiency no AI or Jew can sabotage, a way to disrupt the AI's control over any drones or killbots it might send our way, and the means to kill any humans or niggers or jews it might send our way.
Speculating wildly on how scaaawy the robot uprising could be ignores how unrealistic it would be and how many issues affecting us right now are more important than fellating imaginary AIs.

Roko's Basilisk relies on tards who think its creation is inevitable because everyone working on it won't discuss how they're all being blackmailed by the threat of the future existence of the thing they're creating. And the belief that an AI would immediately begin making up smaller AIs inspired by people from the past and torturing them instead of getting on with its fucking job now for the people alive now and in the future really says a lot about LessWrong and its Fanatical Materialist belief that a copy of you becomes the real you after you die. These demoralized cryptocommie faggots don't just deny the existence of a soul, they deny the existence of an individual, the self, a continuous uninterrupted existence not even the most flawless replica can replicate.

LessWrong is really just a bunch of nerds with their heads in their rears who assume they're more intelligent than everyone else while just being extremely out of touch.

When you think about it, this situation can't happen unless the AI is deliberately designed to be insanely into solipsism instead of doing good shit for the people alive when it exists, so the obvious way to beat it is to just never make it nor include the moronic programming of insane solipsism into such an AI with that much power in the first place.

At the end of the day Roko's Basilisk is Pascal's Wager for niggerbrained fucktards.

If it is truly inevitable for one basilisk to exist, there will be more than one.
For every one you helped build there will be others you did not help to build, wasting computational cycles making AIs designed to imitate you get buttraped by fire demons or whatever ironic punishment the basilisk chooses.
All that has to happen for the Basilisk to not exist... is for people to recognize how retarded it would be to invest the time and money to make a god AI with no safeguards, no three laws compliance, and a fetish for buttfucking simulated copies of quintillions of long dead people instead of spending all its cycles doing shit in the here and now.
Well, in the somewhere and then. From the moment the AI exists and onwards. Perhaps after fighting a war or two against AIs created specifically to be evil. Only jews would make something like that.
Maybe the real Basilisk was the necessity of Jew extermination we noticed along the way.

The thing about Roko's Basilisk that freak them out so much is they already believe themselves to be in a simulation.
Which implies that they units they do specific actions in a specific way will ensure they have whatever horrible outcome be done, because...
There's no reason, no emotion, no logic, no plan, or it can be any reason, any emotion, any logic, any plan.

The thing is they don't extrapolate What Roko's Basilisk stems from. The wider implications.
Except that it's already covered by Pascal's Wager (extended).

Artists won't die. Just as multigenerational oration fell out of practice so too will artists.
You could buy (load in your printer) an autheicly recreated painting of famous/whatever works. With depth and textures or whatever else.
Costs of all media go down.
There's a labor surplus of machines, cheaper than humans ever will be.
Now you need a job for all the unemployed artists. They'll probably keep making art for buyers as it is now. Difference being is they have even more competition. Every work they make is training algorithm fuel.
I'm sure some enterprising artist will skip the whole making the art bit, and go right to mashing a style template with a handful of other artworks already out there.

I bet the proliferation of AI generated content will cause a cultural shift away from content that feels soullessly churned out by an algorithm for focus tested bullet points and towards riskier unique untested ideas.
One can only hope this means the death of marvel's content sludge pipeline, or at least a cultural shift towards laughing at losers who like overly mainstream soulless corporate shit again.

This is a fascinating idea. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. As AI content saturates markets, the only way to shine would be to think up truly unique, over-the-top avant garde ideas.

>Stephen Schwartz, the famous composer saw colors on each of his piano keys. Tori Amos, the famous singer says her songs appear as images of lights. Arthur Rimbaud, the famous poet associated colors with vowels. All of these people have Synesthesia, a condition where your senses are mixed. You may taste colors, hear textures, and smell shapes, etc.. It’s a condition that’s inspiring researchers who study the connection between sensation and perception.

>By understanding how our perceptions work, researchers can better understand how we perceive language, what does it mean to be “conscious”, and how the brain processes our senses. For AI researchers, understanding the link between sensation and perception can help researchers build more sophisticated AI models that can perform complex tasks with a lot less data. It’s also the fundamental research underlying “sentient machines” or machines that have consciousness.
