It seems that while merchandisers are directly copying the anime design, to any degree of legitimacy Simon's (Gurren Lagann) core drill is most appropriately a step drill. As such, a self-respecting weeb would make theirs out of the proper equipment. Cuz in a pinch, that shit counts as a light flail.

To expand our understanding of nature and develop our technology means to grow as a people and dominate the modern world as a civilization while also upholding our traditions. You know all those brilliant advancements in chemistry, engineering, telecommunications, medicine, genetics and manufacturing that occurred during the Third Reich (albeit, a few of them were retarded)? That demonstrates the fascist dedication to scientific progress.
