In Baltimare and the Equestruan Southlands, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and even ancient necormancers and dark gods threaten the city and the surrounding regions. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.

Be advised that the other two guards are watching as they never left (because Onyx and iron never left), Capital murder is taken seriously by the police unlike more basic crimes, this will result in a kind of 'mission failed' for at least a few player characters by causing the news of the night to be about a murder, there really is no reason to attack the guards lethally or not because they are extremely distracted from the actual burglaries, and this could only attract unwanted attention by police. So basically there is absolutely no set of facts under which this results in a good outcome for anyone, as even if all three guards are stopped before they can alert police their uniforms will be bloody, and the bodies and blood will be in a public area where people normally drive through and out, likely discovered within 15 minutes

Be advised that the other two guards are watching as they never left (because Onyx and iron never left), Capital murder is taken seriously by the police unlike more basic crimes, this will result in a kind of 'mission failed' for at least a few player characters by causing the news of the night to be about a murder, there really is no reason to attack the guards lethally or not because they are extremely distracted from the actual burglaries, and this could only attract unwanted attention by police. So basically there is absolutely no set of facts under which this results in a good outcome for anyone, as even if all three guards are stopped before they can alert police their uniforms will be bloody, and the bodies and blood will be in a public area where people normally drive through and out, likely discovered within 15 minutes

Sorry, there are two distinct factions who have given two distinct missions:
The order of Saint Prancis Orphanage wants missing foals back. Rescue the lost foals
The Blackhooves of Baltimare want a scandal exposed. Specifically, they want evidence that will justify a search warrant and catch some asshole politician in a crime, which they hope will weaken the politician's party. So collect evidence of scandalous shit
Murdering a guard will be unhelpful to the Blackhooves mission, because they won't be willing to go public with the information if it is obvious an innocent bystander was killed in order to get it. it would make the Blackhooves look bad
Obviously, Brie can steal shit from rich people in the process. This is actually kind of useful to both missions because it makes it look like the break-in was just a normal burglary
Iron almost assaulted one of the guards. This is the reason they stay together rather than separating. He spooked them before Brie showed up. This is actually kind of helpful to the break-in, because it prevents the guards from spreading out and patrolling, which of course keeps them from discovering evidence of any break-in
