Just thought it would be fun with an thread about the good old games and do some walks down memory lane.

So I'll start off with some old favourites of mine, that I think all sould have played at least once, or know about. This is by no means a complete list just some I thought of before making this thread.

Dream Web

Hand of Fate

Prince of Persia

These games are probably my top 3 of all time. I've definitely got more, I will add them later.

Myst (1993)
Probably the comfiest adventure game you will ever play. The world is amazingly immersive for how simple it is. This one is the most well-known of the titles listed here, and the only one whose developers have kept up with the times and tweaked the game to run on newer systems.

The 7th Guest (1992)
Great puzzle adventure set in a haunted house. The story is a little hard to piece together but there is a companion novel that is worth reading and fills in a lot of the holes. This game was the first game to use Full Motion Video and helped to initially boost sales of CD ROM drives back when it was an experimental technology.

The Dark Eye (1995)
Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

a5f30 No.67926

Will check out The Dark eye as I haven't played that one.
>also great descriptions, I should have added that in my list in OP

I was mostly an Adventure type player, so I'll add a few more I really liked.
The games listed below can easiest be played using ScummVM https://www.scummvm.org/

The day of the Tentacle (1993)
The game's plot follows Bernard Bernoulli and his friends Hoagie and Laverne as they attempt to stop the evil Purple Tentacle—a sentient, disembodied tentacle—from taking over the world. The player takes control of the trio and solves puzzles while using time travel to explore different periods of history.
The day of the Tentacle is an sequel to the Maniac Mansion game (The day of the Tentacle has a "computer" in one of the rooms where you can play the original Maniac Mansion).

Beneath a steel sky (1994)
Set in a dystopian future, the player assumes the role of Robert Foster, who was stranded in a wasteland known as "the Gap" as a child and adopted by a group of local Aboriginals, gradually adjusting to his life in the wilderness. After many years, armed security officers arrive, killing the locals and taking Robert back to Union City. He escapes and soon uncovers the corruption which lies at the heart of society.

Fear is controlled by the autonomous state of association, which is unconscious emotional projection. Association interprets archetypes in the subconscious relative to the control state of conscious drive(defined as emotional control of perceived subconscious information) interpreted by your defined state of self control. Remember forgotten archetypes are unperceived emotions that have unconscious control relative to self control.

locus template is defined by association
Emotional control executes defined emotional control
You weren’t supposed to shave then you did now you can’t for a long ass time. Because I remember this statement with subconscious control the only way to tell you back the same time would be if i stored that memory correctly on the locus template. Emotional control is triggered memory but only has access by emotional control.

Fear is generated by creative response and control failure of emotional control. emotional control is projected

Basic control of your locus template and everything in your subconscious memory requires fear control.
After correct emotional projection can the creative self define the creative self. It’s defined such as by only control aspects such as rewards and fear, and not forgotten archetypes because the psyche only accounts for conscious senses.

The only unconscious is repressed and forgotten archetypes

youll thank me later

so i realize i’m going to need to explain some of these words.

it starts at the peripheral subconscious of sensory information including factual & projected senses, and creative(remembered) senses.

basically the sensing part of your body. if theres a stimulus to be sensed, the peripheral subconscious(definitely correlative to DNA) automatically receives it. the subconscious state is interpreted as the full picture of all combined senses.

next, is the association state that receives that subconscious information and interprets it. the associative state generates an emotional(defining) reaction based on the physical state, and the type of information actively being interpreted.

after, the association state generates an emotional reaction.

interpreted as will, knowledge, control, focus, forgetting and remembering, is executed by the locus state and controls memory storage.

what do i know?
i would say i know everything in my years of experience.
the physical construct of memory is reinforced emotion
something you were gonna think of but couldn’t remember it.
what are you thinking?

the association state control is equivalent to the locus states control of archetypal output including autonomously interpreting associative states’ creativity

stimulus is defined by the subconscious state. said stimulus goes interpreted factually and then associated, the response is interpreted by the locus state defined as creative emotional control and memory.

the associative response is defined as immediate awareness by memory where as memory is defined by true associative control

time is a fact
it is interpreted as such
facts come from knowledge interpreted as factual interpretation

projection is defined by impulse
impulse creativity is defined as factual archetypal control of the state interpreting memory
factual interpretation and factual projection
honest projection
defined by the locus
remember emotional creativity from archetypal control
define front from factual projection
honest creativity collides with factual interpretation
the impulse is defined as emotional memory of the state

If you're a lore gremlin you'd know that the thalmor are trying to get rid of all worship of Talos to kill him and destroy the world so they can ascend as gods. Even if the Stormcloaks lose long-term after the civil war the chance of Talos worship still being allowed is far greater if they win than if the Empire wins. The Dragonborn is absolutely insane in-lore, and the best possible scenario would be the Dragonborn winning the civil war for the Stormcloaks and then marching onto the main city of the Thalmor.

We last left off with the party barging on in a very irate Kiynen who has recently laid a clutch of 5 eggs and is still sensitive about it. Still, no one died in the process and Addy seems to have sworn fealty to them,… whatever that's about. So we return to the party,… who has already split up with Tracy venturing to Cardashil to try and find a lead on the elvenniggers who keep jacking their shit. Infernius has been assisting Slovenia in felling trees and reinforcing the outer wall of Durpistan. Torcuil has been getting bantzed by Snek, and a bunch of stuff I'm probably forgetting and will get shit on reminded of.

The Man stood looking out over the harbor from the penthouse window. Beneath him the carpet had been ripped out and the floor was bare. Behind him there was open space where a wall had stood, and a bar table occupied what was once an open living space, its surface unfurnished. For a year he hadn’t found a buyer for the unit, and so kept it as his own. But he was finally persuaded to sell the unit at a loss, and the new owner wanted extensive changes to the layout. After concluding a meeting at a restaurant, he thought he’d visit the unit at midnight to stare out the panoramic windows one last time.

As he did so, he thought back to a night that ended in that room a little more than a year before. That night had centered on two struggles against two friendly enemies. One, he win against, or so he thought. The other, he would let win. It started with a confrontation. A duel, in whatever way fiour against one could be considered a “duel.” Violent though it may have begun, it swiftly became cordial and countries. It became no less contentious. The battle had shifted from the physical to the mental as he haggled for control of a prize unicorn. After hours of mental chess, they seemed to reach an agreement that left him with the prize.

The victory did not last. It did not even last a single day. He was back to struggling for the prize he thought he had won, trying to get to her the next day, trying to find her the next week, and trying to enamor her the next month. What he was so sure was already in his grasp was in fact only gained after a very long and arduous series of tasks. And even then, he never got to enjoy his victory. In a way, the hard-fought prize remained unclaimed.

This did not bother him. No, his victory did not last, but what does? Everything that is won is eventually lost, and nothing struggled for ever remains. “All glory is fleeting.” What had made that night different, what had made it stand out in his memory after an eventful year, was not the permanency of his triumph, for surely it did not have that. Why that night in particular lingered in his memory more than a year was the sheer thrill of the struggle itself. In the intense back and forth of the negotiation, he found the best focus and expression of his talents and abilities. In trying to figure out what his opponent wanted, in determining what he had to give away, and in trying to persuade the opposing party to make the exchange – he felt alive. He feltPost too long. Out in the far distance, the Man could see a light of a passing ship coming into the harbor, and various other moving lights of vehicles along the shore. These were other people in motion. Their lives were advancing, and so too was his, he figured. He took a sip from the glass of honey sweeten tea he bought at the restaurant earlier, and his mind focused back to the other struggle in that night. The Blue Mare had tried for months then to lay a sort of claim of ownership to him. And for those months he resisted, fearing there was a deeper malevolence. But in that night, he let himself go in the moment. There was something sweet about her. Something… Cute. He liked the affection. He liked to be wanted. And he figured that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if he would let her have him. Maybe this relationship could be joyous. He acquiesced to her that night, and he was hers.

His expectations for his life after this defeat proved to be as illusory as his “triumph.” The relationship would stress and sour, often turning bad. She must have lost interest in him after a while, as her affection became sparser and he was no longer her “flashy,” nor she “Mrs. Sentry.” He had not seen her at all in six months. He had to wonder if she was still out there. But this too, was alright. Most of the relationships we have with people are fraught with tensions, or are ephemeral, so why should this one be an exception? Whatever else happened before or after, he liked the affection, and he had fun that night. That night, she was cute, and it was a good experience. She was not the first person to enter and leave his life, nor was she the last. Through out the years he had known many people. They had all made their impressions on him, and most of them he would never see again. His relationship with the Blue Mare had been special and enjoyable in its own sort of way, and that night, and so many other occasions with her, good and bad, were among the experiences that made up his life.

He stood there in silence, then made a toast “to absent friends,” taking a long drink of the tea and finishing it. He turned around and looked at the deconstructed apartment where that night had ended on a joyous note. He had built this place and lived there in part, but now it was unrecognizable. All furnishings had been stripped away and even the basic layout changed. He placed his glass on thPost too long. Click here to view the full text.

My lifelong dream is an open source sandbox of independent pony bots you can mess with. I have made detailed plans of how one could work, but I have failed at coding forever so someone would have to help with getting the basics in place.

The game would be based mostly around the pony AI, making them seek food and shelter on their own and so on. Starting the AI from simple things like just picking food and building a basic shelter would make it faster to get the first basic release done, and also ensure that they had methods to keep living even if the late game houses and food markets got destroyed. As the basic survival needs got fulfilled, the ponies would start improving their settlement further, building proper housing and workplaces, making proper plans for freetime and so on.

As for what the player would do, once the sandbox ran indepently they could mess with it however they please. Spawn monsters, drop meteors on them or order them around to do what you want. Posess a pony and play around in person, living a normal life pony or going on a rampage. An independently functioning town of NPC:s would be a great base for many kinds of games from Sims to Assassins Creed.

Keeping the project open source would keep the lawyers off its back, and developing it in arcs like Dwarf Fortress would help split the seemingly massive project into small chunks, each release adding a new function to the game. First release would be just about making the ponies move, eat and sleep, second would be adding framework for professions and construction, third would be items, interiors and ownership, fourth about desires and socializing and so on.

This is the game I'd want more than anything, but like I said, I can't code. I can write up design documentation just fine, but I definitely can't make this game without help.

Okay, now THAT is an awesome idea for a game.

800b1 No.316[Reply]

I may have stumbled across something big. I found a tire near the end of Se2 Ep17 (Hearts and Hooves Day). It is buried deep in undisturbed Ponyville ground (that is, until the Cutie Mark Crusaders dug near it in the episode). This seems to indicate that the tire would have been buried a long time ago.

Bearing in mind that Ponyville was founded only a generation or two ago, with the countryside being uninhabited previously, this doesn't add up.

My theory is that Humanity inhabited the same world in the past, and left behind traces of technology and artifacts after mysteriously disappearing from the historical record.

If anyone has noticed similar oddities and/or evidence to support this theory, please share. Also, if we have any Geologists, it could help to analyze the sediment layers to determine the approximate age of the tire.

My eyes have been open; I will now watch the remaining episodes with scrutinizing eyes in the hopes of revealing the truth about the ancient humans, their fate, and the origins of the magical pony races.

can i join the KKK in it? if not the game is fucking garbage.

No, but it does look fun, even if it's a bit tedious at times and I know (((who))) is the publisher behind it.

>On a Possible Cause of Negative Sign of Gravitational Interaction Between Matter and Antimatter
>Based on the mass-energy equivalence from special theory of relativity, we conjecture simple and clear framework for the purpose of conceptualizing atomic mass generation mechanism for a single hydrogen atom. We then apply it to see if it would offer conclusive clarification of the issue of the sign of gravitational interaction between the Earth and antihydrogen atoms at CERN. Our testable prediction is that the interaction will be conclusively repulsive, i.e. of equal and opposite magnitude as compared to the attractive one. We are confident that, if experimentally verified, our conjecture has sufficient potential to result in a theoretical basis of the first experimentally testable quantum gravity hypothesis.

>This, in turn, would imply that we could expect vast regions of atomic antimatter dust to be present in the intergalactic space, thus solving the mystery of the missing antimatter. Similar scenario was hypothesized by Bars and James [5]. Such vast regions of antimatter dust would power not only cosmological inflation, but would also power antimatter regions’ self-expansion, which would further accelerate the inflation. Antimatter and its antigravity would naturally eliminate the need for dark matter and dark energy.

>In regard to the [gravito?]magnetic terms being wholly unfamiliar, because we don’t sense them in everyday life, we think that this is due to magnetic fields being gravity’s propagation medium. We suppose that gravity interactions make use of magnetic vortex tubes. It implies that gravity is a very complex phenomenon, much more so than magnetism, and not a fundamental force with its associated carrier particle.

>In the 1970s, Vera Rubin uncovered a discrepancy between observed galactic rotation speed and that predicted by the visible mass of stars and gas. Today, the galaxy rotation problem is thought to be explained by the presence of large quantities of unseen dark matter.

Is anti-matter the explanation for dark matter/energy, cosmological constant? Can anti-matter captured be anti-gravity?

>A significant discrepancy exists between the experimental curves observed, and a curve derived from theory. The theory of dark matter is currently postulated to account for the variance.

>Galaxy clusters are the lights that trace out the contours of cosmic structure. But they’re only the tip of the proverbial iceberg: dark matter forms the cosmic web’s skeleton. Clusters sit in big halos of dark matter, and the more massive the cluster, the more dark matter is there. We know there’s something like ten times more matter than what we see in these clusters because, if there weren’t, the galaxies zooming around a cluster would be able to escape — the cluster would fly apart.
