(Disclaimer: I haven't used the deck in over a year)
I've decided to try using my tarot deck to learn things about fictitious worlds. To start: g6. As I shuffled, I asked what the first major antagonist of generation 6 of My Little Pony would be trying to do. I got from left to right:
Page of Cups
XIII Death (reversed)
King Of Pentacles (reversed)
My interpretation is that our villain greedily wants to maintain the status quo, which has begun to end. The Page Of Cups actually represents our cheery young protagonist, who is trying to end the unpopular old order for a brighter future. Death Reversed is the villain's resistance to change, and the King of Pentacles is the villain's greed and the old order beginning to fall away.
What do you think? And what fictitious world should I divine next? I'll stop by here from time to time, /vx/ is a slow enough board that I don't have to stick to a schedule.
Deck is Shadowscapes Tarot
"What is Spike's role in g6 of My Little Pony?"
The Moon Reversed
Six of Cups
Once again, Spike is a little dragon amongst little ponies, though he's unsure if that's what he wants. He is a mighty dragon after all. He may have lived with dragons when he was even younger, though I'm not sure.
"Who rules Equestria after the first story arc of g6?"
Three of Swords
Two of Pentacles Reversed
Looks like the current ruler was a high-ranking henchman of the previous ruler, and gained power through betrayal. Now he/she is having a difficult time running the place and is, well, Twilighting over it (doesn't mean it's Twilight though).
So far we have a corrupt king or queen who gets overthrown by a combination of our hero's heroics and a henchman's betrayal, and now the henchman runs things, but with difficulty. Spike's just kinda there, hanging with the ponies.
>Hey, this doesn't sound like the summer camp leak we got
If I'm right then the concept simply didn't get the green light, and we're going to get an adventure cartoon... or a slice-of-life with aspects of adventure.
My ID changed, stupid incognito mode (I need to learn how to tripfag).
