A couple of years ago I wrote a long shitpost in the writing thread in response to someone's request. I always thought it was pretty funny and have been wanting to do something with it. Then, a few weeks ago, I saw a thread on /mlp/ about the dearth of fanmade pony VNs, and decided it would be fun to try making one.
At some point I want to try making a serious VN, but I'm doing this as just a fun silly project to play with the engine and see what I can make it do. Art is all found graphics and AI. The story ends abruptly because I'm not finished with this yet, but if anyone wants to play what I have so far, here it is:
https://files.catbox.moe/ja3nug.zip>>188952I did enjoy it lots.^^
>Twi:"Cause you're belly is filled with frosty chocolate ice-cream.">Spike:"I can't believe I stuffed myself with frosty chocolate ice-cream.">Pyx:"You really eat so much of that frosty chocolate ice-cream." The iteration of this joke of yours is pretty funny if a bit low-hanging. I smile when I see it.^^
>>188984>>189190Thanks, glad you're liking it. I'm going to try to hammer out a bit more of it this weekend.
The frosty milkshake joke is actually not from the story the VN is based on though, it was in that Past Sins parody I did a couple of years ago. Here's the whole thing in context:
>Twilight, Pyx and Spike walked slowly and comfortably home, their bellies stuffed with frosty chocolate milkshakes.>"Ugh," groaned Spike. "My belly hurts...">Twilight giggled.>"That's because it's stuffed with frosty chocolate milkshakes!" she said pleasantly.>"Uggghh..." groaned Spike again. "I'll never eat frosty chocolate milkshakes again......">"A likely story!" chirped Twilight.>Pyx trotted behind them, enjoying their banter. Truth be told, her belly also hurt due to being stuffed with frosty chocolate milkshakes. However, she didn't mind. She didn't mind at all. >>189217I know. I meant that some of the jokes in the VN had that type of delivery. ^^
>>188952Fantastic project, Anon. I hope you're able to get things done very well.
Once you're done, remember to talk with Zizzy to get your project archived in fandom history.
