The main part of the party in Mended Horn is wrapping up a matter at an Abandoned Whaling/Sealing station... somewhat. Virgin Flame has made her return and is celebrating with exercise and tea after recovering an important marble statue head and vanquishing several amoebas in the process.

Not only is time critical on this mission and having to backtrack delays our exfiltration, but Stalliongrad is probably sending out more scouts along the shore and the boat is far too visible. By the time we get back they could all be dead. We also told the griffons that they had to leave now and that we would protect them. Should we go back on our word?

We've got a task to complete, and the possibility of running into the enemy troops and ending up in a firefight is pretty high. I'm not sure they'd want to be in tow for that, and they likely know the ship and how to fix it a lot better than we do. As long as they stay hidden, they should be fine. The Stalliongraders are more interested in that airship than they are in a nearly abandoned whaling station.

The good news is the Griffons ARE armed, and the Captain could possibly be useful in a pinch and otherwise relied on to lead his 'men'. They also could be said to have been tasked with carrying the telescope (if they werent expressly, I dont translate the languages I dont know in character), which may be useful especially at the lighthouse.
