In general, I find making my own quests or take my own initiatives to be quite easy for me with Virgin. Just RP-ing with Heather and Flowercup, you can rest assured is enjoyable to me. In fact, I kinda want to explore those characters deeper and I think Virgin will settle at the Church, at least for now, as her temporary home, if Heather allows her to stay.
Virgin is in fact on her way to Blackhooves HQ right now. She is going there because she thinks that if anyone would know about Hope's whereabouts, it would be them. Also, it's completely up to you what happened with Hope's and her history with the Blackhooves. Hope's doesn't even need to have step a hoof in Baltimare. I decided that she simply disappeared the next day after an argument they had or something Only if that is okay with you. and now, Virgin is in Baltimare just because she gotta start somewhere and that she'd heard that Baltimare is a nest for the Blackhooves or something in the passing.
I did notice that Dark Star was at HQ so the though of getting there faster did enter my mind but I decided against it. I want things to happened diegetically, as you said in the other thread, and so I decided I was gonna engage with Heather and Flowercup before moving on to HQ and if Dark Star was still there then it was fate.

Behind the caster's body? If that's the case, what happens when the caster goes somewhere the disk can't follow because of size constraints or objects in the way? Does it stay where it is? Does it damage the surroundings until it can force its way back to the caster? Does it clang glitchily into the surroundings making Source engine noises until the forces being applied to it are so great it clips through the physical objects between it and the caster? What happens to what's on it in that case? If the disk knows to pathfind around solid objects between it and the caster, is it intelligent? How can it tell what's there that needs to be pathfound around? And if it's controlled by the caster's mind, can it still be controlled even when you've lost access to casting the spell? And if the caster can't dismiss the floating disk, can the caster make multiple copies all at once? Does the world end up being littered with discarded floating disks from all of the creatures who can cast the spell?

The good news is the Griffons ARE armed, and the Captain could possibly be useful in a pinch and otherwise relied on to lead his 'men'. They also could be said to have been tasked with carrying the telescope (if they werent expressly, I dont translate the languages I dont know in character), which may be useful especially at the lighthouse.
