The main part of the party in Mended Horn is wrapping up a matter at an Abandoned Whaling/Sealing station... somewhat. Virgin Flame has made her return and is celebrating with exercise and tea after recovering an important marble statue head and vanquishing several amoebas in the process.

And like magic, Brie's and Lacey's backstory makes sense, to the degree of detail so far established, perfectly aligned with EaW lore and established story.

Did you know the technical term for bat pony is "Thestral"? (you probably did)
Or that Thestral society is in Everfree Forest, presided over by the Night Court? Its a political/financial aristocracy of factions and families that rule over their society. There are plenty of factions in the night court, as well as breakaway factions, among which is the Shadow Syndicate. It's the criminal underbelly of the Night Court.

Also, because 'Mayan' doesnt appear on google translate, the "official" dialect proxy for Thestral is Maori ^,_,^

I don't mean to poke holes in this floating disk thing or give cause for it to disappear, but how does it work exactly? Does it just follow behind wherever the caster is looking? Behind the caster's body? If that's the case, what happens when the caster goes somewhere the disk can't follow because of size constraints or objects in the way? Does it stay where it is? Does it damage the surroundings until it can force its way back to the caster? Does it clang glitchily into the surroundings making Source engine noises until the forces being applied to it are so great it clips through the physical objects between it and the caster? What happens to what's on it in that case? If the disk knows to pathfind around solid objects between it and the caster, is it intelligent? How can it tell what's there that needs to be pathfound around? And if it's controlled by the caster's mind, can it still be controlled even when you've lost access to casting the spell? And if the caster can't dismiss the floating disk, can the caster make multiple copies all at once? Does the world end up being littered with discarded floating disks from all of the creatures who can cast the spell?

I know it sounds like I'm being stupid, but I'm genuinely curious about all of this.

I was going to say one survival roll for the whole party. Posey can roll with her pitiful modifier and mediocre luck, or you can wait for Kira, who is better at the skill and far luckier. It appears the choice was made already

We've got a task to complete, and the possibility of running into the enemy troops and ending up in a firefight is pretty high. I'm not sure they'd want to be in tow for that, and they likely know the ship and how to fix it a lot better than we do. As long as they stay hidden, they should be fine. The Stalliongraders are more interested in that airship than they are in a nearly abandoned whaling station.
