Passing a second checkpoint, Posey sees more creatures on the streets, and these are mostly the kaftar, the crocutta, diamond dogs and a cat-creature Posey isn't sure she's seen before, though even these stay close the sides of buildings so as to best avoid the rain. Posey passes a large armored truck with a machinegun on the top, with soldiers who hide in their trench coats from the rain, but keep watch on the darkness, firmly holding their rifles. But it cannot be the rain alone that causes such furtiveness, as even those inside are more tense than the last time Posey came through.

Looking out back at the restaurant, Silver sees a young zebra mare . She is mostly white in color, with thin black stripes and a bit of black at the end of the muzzle. Her coat is well groomed. Her mane is a short black, combed to the side. Her body has the slight dip in the back, wide barrel, and wider flanks of the typical zebra. Damn, that's certainly an interesting path for her to take. Silver accepts the kiss, but he tries to use his own mouth and tongue to try to guide her, showing her how to not be so hard and rough and instead how to be soft and tender while kissing, taking their time to explore each other's mouths and enjoy the moment.
