She had mentioned "passive feeding" by changelings before and her tussle with a succubus suggests that the latter may have assumed her identity. I'm pretty sure the view of the audience in the bar at daytime is that Dark Star took a griffon from a table to a corner, they exchanged necklaces, they started making out and he groped her belly. No, I get what you are saying. It was initially intended to just be a dream sequence, then it got longer. Rather than doing the loose physics of a dream I wanted it to be very logical and naturalistic. Like there is a scene where Pear is explaining the erosion of limestone caves from an underground river, as well as all of the history, and it's all scientific and logical well beyond what Iron's dreams would logically be. Besides this, the quest lasted months IRL, and so I figured Iron's player would be pissed if he completely lost everything when his character woke up. So I figured that at minimuum he needed to keep the progress his character made with ethe Cauldron Character, I needed it to still be a dream, and I needed some way for the dream world to be as real as the real world. So what I came up with was that Princess Luna has taken Iron, Black Cauldron, and perhaps Pear Faucet, and placed them in a dream sequence set in the future to show what the Pear character intended, so as to warn somepony of the coming threat. This was kind of problematic because the inclusion of a cannon princess made it seem very urgent and thus could override other quests I wanted them to go on, but it seemed like the least bad solution to a problem that came up after months of making things up on the spot
