This week, in "Occupied Equestria":
Wondering through through the Changeling lands at night on the road between Bales and Whinnyapolis, Onyx, Brie, and Spark have stumbled upon a set of farm ponies trying to hide their cattle in the forest, away from their changeling occupiers. While rescuing a cow, Onyx and Brie have taken heavy damage, and so they followed them to the cabin of a local woodspony. But they found the woodspony and a farmer replaced by changelings, and after a skirmish are alone and wounded in the cabin in the woods.
Over in Baltimare, Dark Star has decided to give up his life as Dark Star, the Earth Pony farm colt, to become Tyrel Jackson, or "Gold Chains," a zebra and aspiring rap artist. Through the magic of Valmorification, it is possible. Iron is freaking out after possibly having received a message from God herself. That, and his usual social awkwardness. Silver is cashing out on a long standing set of projects, and is readying himself for the next phase

They told her that they do not take part time employees and the certification process takes months, but they referred her to the Civilian Governate, as they accept part time work. She went to the Celestial Gulf Insurance building in Downtown, the new building of the Governate, where they were already closing for the day. They said that they were indeed looking for help and referred her to the Security Department. They mentioned a number of tasks that were needed and referred her to Investigations, who referred her to Immigration about a specific task they needed help for. They told her that the specific task in question had actually been outsourced to the Black Hooves. So she went down to the Grand Baltimare Hotel about 6 blocks away, which actually (conveniently) stays open later. There, she talked to a receptionist, who referred her to recruitment, who said that somepony had actually already taken that, and left Midnight Lily alone for a period of about five minutes as he rushed in and about and looked through files in his office. Eventually, he said that a pony known as "Blue Skies" was actually leaving on it that night.
Fuck. Not great Luck. But she's come this far, so why give up now. She asks him where her office is, and she goes there. But she's not there. So she asks some ponies where she can be found. A receptionist has met her but doesn't know her. A guard knows her but hold his tongue. Eventually, some minotaur guy with a submachine gun in the lobby says
"Yeah, she has this new deputy. I think she tries to organize helpers at the East Side Tavern"
So she heads there in the hope she is there, and thankfully Midnight Lily knows the area well enough to get there... after asking directions only once.
Eventually, she comes upon the tavern, a brick building of two floors with a brownish facade on the first floor, and that is on the corner of a small block. She goes through the front door and.... let's see. A grey pony at the table. A pair of unicorns in the back, looks like a couple. Then sitting in a booth near the door, a dark Grey Earth Pony, a light grey Earth Pony, a dark red Earth Pony with black mane, and a really light blue pegasus with darker blue mane. That's... that might be her? Seems closest to the description. Well, this job ain't going to take itself, so best try her luck

I don’t know. I tried to play Yakyakistan once after the Brother’s Feud update. I found that fighting Jakistan required grinding with tiny infantry-only units as they had too many units to go around. I thought, “fuck that,” and never played it again

Any country that requires a war advancing little 6 width infantry only divisions with no hope of going around the enemy is hardly worth playing. It’s boring as hell placing the game on five speed and watching the green arrow stay the sane for half a minute, just to go back to red, all the while watching your infantry equipment deficit slowly grow.
The New Mareland MARESOC path is ruined for that reason, despite it being the funniest meme focus tree in the entire mod. There is no way to do it anymore without doing the civil war. And fuck that civil war. You can’t even get around it with console commands. Harmonic Changelings is kind of close to being on the same level, but at least their is room to maneuver. Most of the Equestrian Civil war states avoid this problem, but fighting Aztlan as the Disciples... it’s a pain in the ass

From the outside, the Watering Hole is a wooden two story building in the center of a block of buildings, with several windows on the upper level and at least one boarded up, and a wooden patio roof that extends out from between the second floor and the first covering the entrance and the area closest to the building, and is propped up by a few wooden timbers. The door is partly open, and from within the simple unpainted wooden structure, a loud noise of music exudes - is that that dreadful Jazz - and a bussel of creatures comes in, out, and hangs around in the bar, talking loudly. Mostly ponies, with some other creatures. Going inside it is even louder and livelier, with a live band playing somewhere over in the back. There is a large, burly Diamond Dog with a spiked collar on his neck, drinking a big mug of beer alongside some spotted grey and black earth pony with spiked hair
