Give me good sources for self-help stuff for a good friend I'm redpilling and helping with self-improvement. How to feel more confident, how to talk to women, how to strongly believe in and be proud of the values Globalists tell you to be ashamed of, and so on.

24b7e No.797

Rather than going to geek conventions go to more "productive" clubs like Toastmasters. To establish business connections ask to speak with corporate managers and give them gifts. Make and update a LinkedIn profile that does NOT mention ponies, unless if you work at Hasbro or DHX. Learn how to play golf because all the bigwigs across the world play it.

Participating in charity events is certainly one way of making connections, in fact it even helped me to land a job at my local poker house (as they were a major donor to the charity organization I was working with).

If anyone knows who Infinite Elgintensity is, you might be aware of one of his Q&As where someone asked for advice on attending college, now most of us recognize that college is not nearly as valuable as it used to be (hell, in most cases, it's an expensive waste of time), however, Elgin mentions that your main objective while attending is to engage in networking should you make the decision to go (lord knows I failed to do that while I was there, despite being given all the greatest opportunities to do so). I'd imagine this would especially apply to students pursuing a law degree.

If you're working, performing well at your job and getting the attention of your superiors is a given, if you can make friends with the owners of the company you're working for, that will, at the very least, be a great boon for your reputation. Find ways to spend time with the top dogs in your company, for example, I go to the gym with the partners that own the poker house I work for. (Obviously, this will be much more difficult to do in larger organizations)

>>797
I once read on Identity Dixie about "Rotary" and "Ruritan" clubs, that might also be something you'll want to look into, provided your community has organizations like that. Again, that falls into the charity work advice.

How are you going to run the fields of equestria with your waifu if you have no endurance?

cb34e No.769

File: 1513671646011.png (217.19 KB, 300x366, 1486082682120.png)

I did some on and off running for over half a year, but without a particular plan or any real attention to gains. Maybe four months ago I started paying attention and put my goal on to run a sub-30 min 5k. I was getting really tired, to the point of being forced into walking (mostly lung exhaustion, even though I control my breathing quite extensively) after about 2k. I since moved that threshold to ~3,5k but I feel like there's some issue I'm overlooking. Is it normal progress speed (5 runs a week) or is there something to my thinking? Also I'm a social smoker, but I autistically count every smoke I take, currently sitting at 694 over the course of 3 years. This doesn't seem to me like reason enough, even as a kid I remember my endurance being pretty bad.

>The short naps only ever engage stage 1 sleep
This isn't true, anon. the naps are REM sleep.
You body skips straight into REM because it knows it won't get much sleep.
It's basically throwing your body into "survival mode".
But it still isn't sustainable. If you miss any of the naps, you get fucked up for weeks.
I've looked into it before, you're better off just grabbing a nap or two each day to cut sleep time down by 2-4 hours.

05a60 No.775

I sleep 10 hours a day and don't use an alarm clock. How bad am I fucking myself over?

5c14c No.776

Consuming (somewhat excessive amounts of) alcohol prior to, 'going to sleep,' or, 'passing out, suppresses the REM stage of sleep.
Drinking for, lets say, 3 days in a row, completely suppresses REM for that time.
The night after you stop drinking, going to sleep sober, causes your REM to come back and make up for, 'lost time,' thereby causing intense dreams, also known as, 'nightmares.'
Being a pony, mares are fine with me, but I like them white, not black - like a night-mare…

ff199 No.780

>>776
Will it always be nightmares though? I fell like it would be fun to try these "intense dreams" but I don't want another dream about work.

7f6fe No.781

>>774
This is… unsurprising considering the body's capacity for adaptation. Still fits the sustainability vs efficiency dilemma though. I'm pretty certain that skipping anything other than stage 1 sleep is going to screw you over in the long term, and the scenario you outlined makes the whole system very risky but at least usable. It would be really cool if there was a study on the influence of polyphasic sleeping on the stress balance of the body; I'm pretty sure it'd fling you into nearly permanent stress response for as long as you keep it up.

I dunno. I'm feeling pretty good even with all that's happened recently.

Pony, I guess? I can't get enough pony. Even between here, /mlp/, and /pone/ things aren't always fast enough for me sometimes. I just want to talk about ponies and shit, and think nice thoughts. And when I don't? It's /pol/shit. Niggers and alt-left and kikes and shit. Riots and escalating violence. Lugenpresse, fake news, and propaganda. I guess pony is the only thing that keeps me going, really. I can think happy thoughts of cute little creatures, and true love, and friendship. Which is good, because I swear to god I'll kill people if they keep carrying this bullshit to the extreme and SHTF. Lucky, I live pretty far away from all that, and I've got ponies, lots of happy green, and cute pictures.

Helps keep me in check. Happy feelings make for a happier, more content you. True fact. I guess I self-medicate with ponies. I drink a bit, too. Not too much though. Been there done that. It isn't fun. I also like to think. Just use the ol' noggin. Makes it fun to debate and enjoyable to type out long posts like this one. It gives me a chance to put pen to paper, so to speak, and it helps to refine concepts and ideas. That's my sad, simple little coping mechanism.

It's cool that you've got good health and a job and good grades and shit, but you gotta give yourself a long-term goal to achieve, or at least something to look forward to everyday. That's the key to happiness. It's no secret.

have fun with your fams or friends, go hang out with them or just walking around with them.
help in your neigbourhood commune, or just do comune service.

I get caught up in autism quite a bit, sometimes to anger. What fixes things for me is taking a step back. If possible, talk it out with those who are causing the antagonization. If they are just dicks and won't care, then realize they're not worth the emotional drain to get upset over. It really helps me to think of the big picture, and of how the seemingly humongous issue is actually minor and will soon fade. It takes a lot of effort, but you can choose to let it go entirely, even if the situation persists. That's difficult but the most permanent solution. The overwhelming urge is to fester on the negativity. It takes a real man or woman to take a deep breathe and decide that you're not going to allow it to reign over you anymore.

There's no boundary to meditation beside your own discipline. Don't think if you're meditating for too long or not enough. The baseline you set yourself should be according to your own mind.
If you're starting breath meditation to better your focus and awareness, you can measure progress by how long if takes your mind to become exhausted from the effort, or with how much ease it slips from focus.
In my experience, meditation progress is nowhere near a neat line of any kind. It's more like pic related. Some days will be great, some will be bad, but there's a slow and overall improvement. So don't be take to heart a sudden dip or rise in quality.

As for knowing about Buddhism, it depends what you mean. If you want to fully follow the teachings and 'convert' as it were, then yes, you should go and research the core principles and teachings at least. Buddhism is not like other religions, however. It shows you the way and asks you to walk it yourself. So; to achieve enlightenment is something only you can do for yourself, and no amount of knowing 'about' Buddhism will help you with that.
If you meant meditation and other mind-based practices, it depends.
Some meditations are meant to be spiritual, with specific goals and ways of thought. Others, such as breath meditation, are not dependent on faith at all, and are entirely personal as to your technique, method, goal, etc.
It never hurts to do your research, and the wisdom you hear from others may very well help you greatly, but with meditation it is your own mind fixing your own problems. You can see that this comes down to your own wisdom, and not that of others.

Hope this helps, Anon.

I'd say this is mostly accurate. I remember from the view stuff i saw about bodybuilding that the models were so exausted right before the contests that they were on the verge of collapsing. the amount of visible muscle does not translate over to health over overall body power. Its purely visual and does not last long at all.

Weight Lifters and even other athletes that rely on high body strength more often than not look rather tubby. Other examples go as well. look at pic related. this woman won the world champion title in kickboxing while she had a similar body type.

Really accurate
The best way to get strong actually is to get fat by eating a lot of meat, greens, and carbo due to increasing your own needs.
That's why at first you can lift weighs to tone the muscle, but if you want a big body you will have to keep up for a while and then push yourself to the limit.
After exploding a few veins, your muscle will increase. After that, you only need to keep up so the day you are old, your skin won't turn into a skin matress.
And don't forget your legs. You need good cardio to keep good strenght

self improvement is never really a bad idea for anyone, but long term homofags have effectively removed themselves from the gene pool and any interaction with the world where they act in any capacity as open homofags will be tainted and will reliably have a net negative effect due to their sexual proclivities. The more public these things are the more it spreads like the disease it is removing more people from the gene pool and driving up the child sex abuse rate and the domestic abuse rate in regard to lesbians and bisexual women specifically. If they remain closeted they can try to contribute to the world but with no offspring who will really remember them when they die? how much lasting effect can the average person have on the world within one lifetime

A while ago I heave heard that homosexuality is not unlike phantom pain, the pain you feel in lost limbs that have been amputated. The problem is within the brain, caused by wrong neuron connections or damaged cells. Unless science develops a surgical method to tread this i fear the best you can do is just live with it and not act on account of your unnatural urges.

Try to not get in the way of healthy heterosexuals and consider getting into meditation to relax your mind.
