Here's a useful analogy on how to be a parent.
One that has strength.
It's being deep undercover.
On the surface you're just doing your job providing materially.
You however are on the clock 24/7 your every movement and action watched and measured.
You also are trying to communicate back to HQ the child/children through standard channels and gentle differences in 'normality'.
