I biked around 20 miles this week and last as well. Will probably do the same or more this next week. Started doing push ups and crunches and other various easy workout stuff. Horribly out of shape but working on it. Getting a bench soon and will start lifting regularly.

Today Im just cooking and relaxing, maybe some vidya later.

What are your fitness goals? Generally 20+ reps of anything isn't very useful. Not gonna say ngmi but you could probably be working out more efficiently.

I haven't been able to get a gym membership lately due to time constraints (and wanting to get the best possible deal) so what I've done is do squats and jumping jacks wearing a backpack full of heavy books. It's very cheap (provided you're a student) and effective. I'm going for the "T-Rex build" for now as I've injured my arm and can't do any pushups for now.

May sound played out but for aesthetics unironically go lift. Lifting drives muscle protein synthesis better than anything else, then to drop bodyfat % just eat on a calorie deficit (cutting, still eat lots of protein of course). I'm about to finish my cut, dropped 30 lbs and my lifts have hardly gone down meaning probably like 27 lbs or so of that was fat, and now I have muscle so I don't look like a skelly. If I was running every day I doubt my lats and traps would be a big as they are now (thanks deadlifting) so I have that masculine massive upper back look starting to stand out now that my beer gut is gone. Now that I'm slim I want to add more muscle mass so I'm going back on a calorie surplus soon.

Get a gym membership, go lift, focus on the Big Four. You won't regret it.

I kind of dropped off from my normal exercise routine which was a bunch of simple exercises with a pair of 5-pound weights, some lunges, squats, and pushups.

On the other side, I started some part-time work doing tree removal, and I just picked up a job doing construction work to fill out the rest of the week.

As far as I know, I'm basically being paid to work out.

I would like to get better at lifting heavy things, as that'd be clearly applicable for my work and would catalyze more muscle definition. I'm on the skinny side, but I wouldn't mind getting swole. I'm just worried that if I work out one day that it'll kill my ability to do work the next day.
