What does /sp/ think about "Football gate? "

My normie co-workers are outraged at these so-called football players that refuse to respect the American flag like a bunch of commies. The consensus around the office is that we need to send the NFL a message so that they stop disgracing the great sport of football. That if the team won't stand, then the fans should leave the stands. No tickets, no views, no merchandise sales.

We should only watch games where the footballers show respect to the anthem. If your team is a disgrace to the sport, then you should gather up your community to play a good wholesome game of football to show those ungrateful fools how the game is meant to be played.

The NFL isn't worth a damn anymore. They have completely turned on their profitable demographic since the 60's, suburban and rural blue collar workers, and have basically instead of shooting themselves in the foot, they blown their whole leg off.

These commies aren't worth watching anymore, if you wanna watch football, then you are gonna have to watch college football now which probably has its own propaganda and problems but at least its has intense rivalries and tradition and the players in the games aren't quite pro level which makes the games more random and exciting I feel (unless you are watching an Alabama game, they gut stop everyone they play against just about).

Or you can watch replays of older NFL games back when it was America's pastime and the players where die hard Americans (and no, the heresy known as baseball is not America's favorite pastime). You can watch the glory that is John Elway, a legend that will never be matched with and I'm starting to tear up now.

The death of fandoms have become a formula at this point. If its anything like gg they will look on their hyper consumerist hobby and see how trashy it really is.
I cant even look at video games without feeling disgust at all the progressive pandering. The question i have is what is going to happen when all of these cultural enclaves are hyper politized to both extremes? When there will be nowhere you can go and do things without politics being injected into it? War?

It just means that people are going to start tuning out, companies will realize they're losing money and eventually competition will emerge that fills the void with entertainment people actually want. This isn't just sports and games, it's pretty much across the entertainment world that this is happening. Movie attendance is down, TV networks are struggling to retain viewers, even cable news is taking a serious hit they decided it was a smart move to completely abandon all pretense of objectivity.

People aren't just going to mindlessly consume entertainment that doesn't speak to them or deliberately insults them / makes them uncomfortable. They find something they enjoy more and do that instead, because frankly there's enough media out there to keep the average person busy for a lifetime, even if new media were not being produced. Personally I don't even play new games any more, there's plenty of old favorites I can replay, or even old titles I always wanted to play but never got to that I can check out; they're better games and you can usually get them much cheaper than new titles. Same with movies, I went to see IT the other night and realized that it was the first time I'd been inside a movie theater since literally 2015. As much as I would hate to abandon the fandom since I just got into it, in the event that MLP ever goes full on SJW (I personally don't think they will but you never know) I'll probably just stop watching the show and just watch the old episodes when I'm in the mood for ponies.

Kikes can mess with media all they want, but in the end simple market forces are what ultimately prevails.

>A Colorado car dealership has asked two local television stations to stop airing its commercial featuring Von Miller, one of the stations, 9NEWS, said Monday.
>We are evaluating the events of the weekend. It is important to state that we haven't fired Von. We are in the middle of contract renewal and this weekend's events remind us that sometimes we feel that we best represent ourselves. We support Von and his first amendment rights, we know Von and he's a good person. He donated a police car to his hometown police dept. All that notwithstanding when we bring in celebrities to represent us we run the risk of being misrepresented.
>We, like millions of Americans are concerned and will respond consistently with our values as a proud American company founded by a war hero (Phil Long). While we can't control the actions of others we can be responsible for how we support our nation and community. That is why, years ago, our principal owner, Jay Cimino, founded the Mount Carmel Veteran's Service center, and is supported by all Phil Long Dealerships. We support this cause not just with our words, but financially as well, and it is serving hundreds of veterans in need right here in Colorado. This would be a great time for our community to show support for our military community by supporting this cause or others that continue to serve them after they serve us.

Fucking this! Sports don't need to be politicized.
Remember how buttfrustrated libtards got over the last superbowl? They could've just enjoyed it, like regular people, but they had to make it into a political game, because they were so desperate to win at SOMETHING even once. I was lurking /pol/ the whole night, and the most they were concerned with was racemixing in the commercials.
Really, fuck libtards and their SJW mentality that demands that everything be political.

Shock Report: NFL’s Oakland Raiders Threw Game After White QB Refused To Kneel For National Anthem

A new report from The Armstrong and Getty Radio Show has sent shockwaves throughout the sports world after it was claimed that members of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders may have purposefully allowed their star quarterback to get sacked multiple times after he refused to kneel during the National Anthem.
If true, this would essentially mean that an NFL football game was illegally thrown over anger that one of the teams star white players did not believe that kneeling during the nation’s anthem was the correct way to protest supposed racial injustice in America.
In other words, an epic level scandal.
During the anthem, virtually the entire team was seen kneeling other than the teams coaches and star quarterback Derek Carr. Unfortunately, this may have not set well with the team’s offensive line as they were apparently the players who spearheaded the entire idea to kneel as a team in the first.
“This is one hell of a scandal with the NFL, could ruin the whole league,” claimed the show before detailing the fact that Carr was sacked two times in a row on the teams second drive and that the team’s usually dependable center snapped the ball at the wrong time in three different instances. Extremely capable receivers also made multiple “weird” drops of passes thrown by Carr that T.V. announcers even noted at the time.
The radio show then revealed bombshell “insider information” from an “extremely reliable” source who claimed that members of the Oakland Raiders did indeed throw the game as a sort of punishment for Carr choosing to not use the countries anthem to make a political statement.
“He wants to stand alone, he can stand alone on the field,” one of the teams offensive lineman said, according to the shows source. Keep in mind, the offensive line are literally the guys whose job it is to protect the quarterback, in this case the star player who didn’t kneel.
Amazingly, the circumstantial (and possible direct) proof didn’t end there as the show then claimed that this same source also revealed that a local team reporter got wind of the story and asked a team official for comment. What he was apparently told in response has all the hallmarks of a team trying to cover up a major scandal.
“If you report on this, you will be blackballed, you will not get access to the Raiders period,” the reporter was supposedly told. “Your career covering the team will be over”.
While there are obviously major legal and ethical issues if this is true, it also paints a sad picture of a football league divided by a political and media establishment all too happy to cause as much racial divide in the country as possible. For as long as Americans focus on differences between each other, the global elites power remains completely unthreatened.
Strawman’s Hot Indecent Takes: A win for the Patriots is a win for racism
Racism just won Super Bowl 51
No.3657
IMG_20170929_194403_059.JPG
first half, I have no such allusions of grandeur. I know what this win truely means. What this win trueley represents in this dark time for our country. This is’nt just another Super Bowl win that we nonPatriots fans will have to here about for years to come.

This is a win for racism people, open your millennial tinted eyes and see the colors.
Don’t think I’m right? Look no further than who the famous supporters of the Patriots are. We’ve got the Usual Suspects of racists, white supremeacists just all begging to be apart of the Patriots suckcess: Trump. Check. That Nazi people are punching. Check. Mark Wahlberg. Check. Captain America. Check. Right there you’ve got a orange faced, blonde haired man whose turned racism into a business, a Nazi — so dont feel the need to talk more on that — and a guy who makes movies inwhich he’s the hero. In fact his first movie he gave himself a big ass dick, clearly compensating for the size differential he feels compared to black men. Racist. Plus America. I’m pretty sure people have told me America is real fucking racist, so clearly is our captain.

Need I go on? Have you seen a single black Patriots’ supporter? Of course not because the Pats want to keep it that way. They like their whiteness. I’ve been saying this forever, just take a look at their team. And I’m not the first to notice this:

>Pic related

How else do you get the support of a frog unless you have the whitest team.

Need more examples of their white supremacy agenda? You know that running back the Patriots just turned into a Super Bowl legend. Yea that guy who’s 14 catches and three touchdowns and 20 points scored are all super bowl records, whose name will be forever in the history books. You know his name? WHITE. It is literally WHITE. Now when a child looks up super bowl records for a history project or something he will only see the name WHITE everywhere. He will see WHITE on the top. Now everyone gave Obama all the credit for being a black man and black kids seeing that and thinkin, hey I can do that. What will the kids think when they all they see is WHITE across Supper Bowl records. They won’t feel so good about themselves will they.

Look, I’m not saying all Patriots fans are racist white supremacists. But they kinda are, just like how all Bernie Bros smoke two much weed and think that talking about our problems will get somewhere. Its like how we all hate Cowboys fans because they cant shut up about Troy Acheman and how great their fucking dynasty was. Or how every Seahawks fan has a bruise on their side from where they hit the bandwagon trying to climb on. So yea, Patriots fans youre the worst. Way to root for a racist white supremeist team.
Fuck you Super Bowl 51

Also on a more personable note, it was real righting about the football this year and am looking forward to next year. Lets hope the Browns get this right and finally draft a quarterback who is a) good and 2 knows how to stay alive. We can hope.
