Derpi may be generally against hateful views and harassing people in DMs, but preemptive banning and going after people for what they're into rather than what they do is different. PCL may've had originally compatible intentions, but it clearly developed (with the BronyTales admins Daring and Databyte steering much of its mod team in a sort of coup attempt) into just a way to preemptively ban people for out of scope behavior that wasn't hurting anyone, up to and including going after staff of websites like Derpi, using mass reporting.
You may see a difference in these things and how they effect people. Hell, I noticed one person on the list fell on really hard times after BT gave him the boot.

This applies to anything. Most sites/servers don't ban people for stuff elsewhere, because of the idea of jurisdiction.
