I am reffering to the topic of raids and getting more newcomers here but I thought this particular topic needs dedicated thread.
I am member of one of the /our/discords which did raids in the past. I noticed that their traffic was not dropping too much even after mlpol .net got fully enstablished.
I asked them today if they indend to join mlpol .net sometime.
Their response basically was that this website is not the same thing, that they already formed chill community and that if they won't be able to retake 4/mlpol/, then they are staying in their bunker.
One of the friends there told me that some "inner circle" was already making plans.
Some other people in discord mentioned that the discord will probably not last and fails due attrition.
I told them that we are discussing the same question.
Other than that, I didn't recieve more feedback from them.
I want to add few of my thoughts:
-This discord is also pretty comfy and appears much more active even with 3 or 5 people being active because of its chatroom layout. that However becomes issues once more people chat at once or people start shitposting.
-This Discord got compromised a few times and had spies leak screens out. However they found a way to counter that.
-This discord I am talking about probably took part in all our past raids and there are probably mostly veterans who took liking to activistic fun/shitposting.
-While Discord is very well equiped chatroom for organizing raids, it is too good for keeping our community together. As I stated at the start of my message, some considerable portion of people who joined for raid stay at those Discords for community. Although its true that the community has to be founded with some really good anons if it is to endure its test by time.
In conclusion, while this Discord has good community, if we collaborate on their discord then we are likely to have some of our own move for a long time to that Discord.
Could this be acceptable? Independed mlpol troll/shitpost Discord server? Would this more hurt us or maybe it could benefit us?
