Is there any reason why we can't just break hyperlinks by default? Or at least pass on the norefer tag? It'd keep away the effort of having to manually break the links, and would keep errors to a minimum.
Even then, it's already late if anyone is truly concerned. Referring to youtube already brought us into Google's records, if they do watch referers for new websites.
