On the topic of newfags

The board, as it stands, is too slow. Old, post-1 April /mlpol/ would get 1k posts an hour; we can barely get a hundred on our /mlpol/. This is not a sustainable posting rate; while it is important to preserve the purity of this board, it will not lead to anything stable or powerful long term.

This brings us the question - How will we tackle the issue of bringing in new blood without compromising the board? How can we regain the many active /mlpol/tards that were bled when the board got frozen and subsequently deleted?

Dunno why people are so concerned about getting newfags so much at this point tbh. the original /mlpol/ was a bit slow the second day it was up and our /qa/ board alone is more active than our endchan and 8chan alternatives.

At least for the first two weeks or three we should stay low profile, only linking likeminded people there upon opportunity, individually, through time-limited links as mentioned in
>>>/mlpol/4341
Only later, after we have a somewhat established userbase and the shitstorm from original april fools seems like history to 4/pol/, we should try to actively recruit new people over time.

Personally I don't think there is much of a reason to avoid being known on the internet - we have all the defences we could need against normies and ledditors, while the mods are on our side here and so far are doing a good job of cleaning shill threads (since apparently we're already on some spamlist of theirs). Granted, we shouldn't be too open about it (definitely don't send outright links to here), but let a rumour spread that crazed horsefuckers are actually attempting to reinstate 3rd Reich but with horses somewhere on the internet. That's as good an invitation as anyone interested in /mlpol/ can get, and strange enough that any normies unfortunate enough to actually find us would either have the thing necessary for conversion in them or would just get scared of someone associating them with a board as open about posting horse porn as SJWs are about their retardation.

Honestly this board is self governing. This is why I don't believe we need to be so secretive. I mean sure we would attract plenty of attention from people we don't like, but they wouldn't want to come here anyways. The ponies and porn can be a powerful tool for weeding out the normalfags, while those who can stomach the horse pussy would stay. If shitposting becomes a problem just make more mods.

Agreed. On 4chin it used to be approx. 50/50 with poniea and politics + other things

I reckon that if people on internet start forgetting us, we can do raids and other fun activities that would bring attention to us again.

Although we should probably take care about what kind of impression we leave.

For we are not all just jokes. Our interest are also ponies and politics.

While we will need more people eventually, we shouldn't allow in people who don't to accept the way things go around here. Nobody wants bunch of nu-polacks fresh from they board come here and start posting how we do things wrong.

Just like it is with immigration IRL, let in those willing to integrate and contribute. Unwilling invaders are to stay out of the country.

I say let the users grow slowly, so we can ensure healthy growth. If we see any lost mlpols around we'll nudge them here.

The only thing I'm worried about with getting new blood is overworking our mods. We should put some effort into protecting and nurturing good mods.

As things are progressing the admins are doing well. We have had a couple of tiny-raids without problems. As long as we do not have a large increase of new people all at once it will be o.k. /pol/ suffered because it got on the main stream news and all the new people did not know what threads were real and what were just bait. Avoid too much exposure on the main stream and we can cope. I do think that the cost of this board will increase and my knowledge of webspace providers is that once you start using up their bandwidth they suddenly start asking for a lot more money than advertised. If you look at the patron link I think they under-estimate the long term cost if traffic increases.

Yes, there's no reason to limit ourselves. At least, unless we start alienating others in our small group. We'll never survive if we need to start making containment boards like 4chan.

Well fuck you

At the time I wrote that I took it for granted that new users would be interested in politics. I was worried about imbalance. No one understood that
