If you select hide poster ID in the thread when you create it only IDs are hidden by default. The poster have to select to hide his/her flag when posting if he/she wishes.
Ah, too bad. I guess I'll just work with what I have then.
Anyone think it would be better if there were a hide all flags option as well?
/mlpol/ is such a tiny community that some posters are easily distinguishable by their flags, and those posters having to single themselves out by hiding their flags isn't really that helpful if the OP wanted a truly anonymous thread.
Sorry haven't had time to look at adding the option to hide flags from threads yet. But I will set off some time and dive into it and try to get it added in not too long.
Any idea when that might get done?
Haven't found time yet. Been lots of IRL stuff going on at the moment, but I will try to get it done when I find some free time. Once I get to sit down and do the coding it should hopefully not take too long. It depends on how much I have to change the database and underlying code and functions fetching data from database. But to give an estimate I would not think it would take more than a day or two once I get the time to sit down and do the coding and testing.
Would an option be possible to randomize flags within a thread while keeping them consistent with each ID? So if you're assigned Australia randomly when you start posting you'll keep that flag when posting in that thread.
Should be possible but I would have to do a little thinking on how to assign flags and how to implement if implementing it. Have not thought about it or discussed if this is an option that is desired to implement, but I will add that idea to a list of potential options to look into.
