I started a thread back in the first week, but it got wiped out in a weeb raid, and the /go/ thread only saved a quarter of it.
To be honest, that thread didn't actually shut down any deathtraps, and I feel like it was largely due my lack of proactive leadership… It did showcase a willingness of the community to start the project up again though, and three splendid OCs were drawn.
I was a fairly active participant in the original /rwss/ threads last December, but my participation was mostly limited to safety-code discussion and pointing out possible fire hazards in screenshots that other Anons posted. I didn't make any of the threads, and I'm now at a loss as for how I could get the leads to resurrect the project.
The 8/chins/ board may have been forgotten (partly due to safety-inspectors taking a three-week winter vacation right after we got shoahed), but I deeply believe that the /rwss/ community is out there and willing to save again. Heck, even #rwss on twitter (originally created by education specialists to combat gender-inequality in sub-Saharan Africa) is still being tormented by daily shitposts.
Is there any way that I could reach-out the old /rwss/ veterans and/or restart the project myself here? I really do believe in the memes, but I don't know where to start..

Are we seeing bots and shills finding their way here? I noticed these two threads and they look a bit off.
>>>/mlpol/182019
>>>/mlpol/182020

Both OPs are exact copies of posts that were on 4/pol/ very recently, both have US and Norwegian flags as the first posters, both seem pretty low effort and typical nu-/pol/ tier. And the Mueller thing is all over the catalog there. Or is it just newfags?

I made both of those threads.
I stole them from 4/pol/ because I'm too lazy to write my own OP's, but I still felt like opening those two topics for discussion anyway, because things were feeling slow today. Sue me.
NorwayAnon is just a rather prolific poster on this site who's usually the first to contribute to a thread.

My powers of description are failing me today, but I'll try my best.
It's a voxel-based game where you build various naval, aerial, terrestrial, and spacefaring vehicles and send them off to battle. It's an engineer's and military enthusiast's wet dream, where you can build anything from 18th century sailing ships, to modern era naval ships and aircraft, to futuristic orbital bombardment satellites, to whatever else you could possibly think of using what the game gives you to build with.

In order to ensure quality threads we should have a minimum character limit. 8/pol/ does this to prevent slide threads and prevent low quality threads (zald). I propose a 75-100 character limit per thread.

>when your thread character limit is bigger than your daily active userbase
Slide threads are useless when you can have threads on the most active board stay on page 1 for 24-36 hours with no bumps. The more restrictive you make things, especially unnecessarily, the more you're discouraging newfags. Just my opinion.

 No.4455

>>4454
We would discourage newfags that make garbage threads. That's a good thing.

 No.4456

>>4455
Personally, I think the reaction to garbage threads is enough discouragement to keep them from making more than one. I consider thread quality to be more in the activity it stirs up among other users than a specific amount of content in the OP.
It's not like total garbage threads aren't purgeable.

Hello tech staff,

I would like to have a tool that enables me as OP to Pin a post in the thread, so that it is always visible on the thread overview and under the Op post. Sometimes MVP posts with critical information get swamped or easily overlooked, i want to proactively counter that.

Also i would like to have an option to enable duplicate images in a thread without getting error notices.

Thank You.

 No.4446

>>4442
I do not wish to intrude upon the domain of the development staff, but as best as I understood their responses, it seems that they find an option to pin a post in a thread to be superfluous, as this is information that generally should be included in the OP post. If this is not possible, they recommend asking an OP to edit in new information to an OP. As for the duplicate images, they also do not see this option as desirable. Duplicate images make spamming a thread much easier, and makes for lazier and less creative image selection. Perhaps the devs can add to this or correct me.

Bitch, Please.

Script kittens attack this site about once a month, and they don't even try to flood the board - including one three days ago. Do you know why? Because it is physically impossible. We have the simplest possible solution to board flooding: a thread creation limit. They could make a couple threads, and that is the end of that raid. The raid is noticed, the threads are deleted, and proxies banned, with more extreme measures taken if necessary. Mundane, yes, but effective.

Hey I'm the staff member who manages the store. There's a few problems with patches.

Finding a production company willing to print off Nazi and copywrite-grey merchandise for the store was difficult. Unfortunately the company we use does not do patches.

An additional rare company would need to be found, either a factory or on demand company. If it's on demand, ui would need to be set up, and embroidery files* would need to be uploaded. If it's a factory a bulk order of patches would have to be created with a min order. It's doubtful it would be done for less than 100 patches and ATM our community is not big enough to warrant this expansion.

On top of that embroidery files themselves are a massive issue. Embroidery files require needle pathing created on a CAD like program. We have nobody capable of doing this and it's an overly expensive contract (again relative to the scope and size of the community). It is doubtful the investment would be recouped. Finding a balance of sustainability is the biggest limiter for this request.

Believe me I'd love to have patches and ww2 wool German hats with the /mlpol/ logo and fuckable plushies and so much more as well.

We used to have an instance of GNU Social running. But due to a security flaw in the GNU Social software that was exploited by some hater of freedom to try to take down the site we chose to remove it. Also many of the sites running GNU Social is SJW who run lists of sites they block because seeing different point of views is a dangerous thing for a fragile leftist mind; they might start to think.
