For all the anons who keep talking about us producing our own pony series, this actually looks like the kind of thing we could realistically make. It's basically one background, three characters, a script that could fit on a single page, and relatively basic animation. There's probably more genuine warmth in this 1.5 minute segment than in the entire last two seasons of the show.

It's important to always start small because the quality of work between inexperienced and experience animators/storyboard artists/writers/etc. is very much noticeable. If I owned an animation company I would have everyone just make spoofs and short clips for a couple of years to train them and get them better coordinated for bigger projects.

You know what hurt? Being able to tell exactly where the fuckups would have been if there was a season 9 episode.
Twilight would get mad and say "Why are you always like this?! Why are we even friends?!"
Or maybe "Can't I have one day without this bullshit?!"
Or maybe even a full-on fucking "I wish I never met you!" because lol what is consistent writing
Then Pinkie would run away crying and Rainbow Dash would call her the asshole here.
And the show would back that up, as if Twilight's wrong for not tolerating this pain.
Pinkie might even attempt suicide because that's a thing a character did on this show once and for a stupid reason.
And the moral would be "DO NOT SAY MEAN THINGS EVEN WHEN ANGRY, BECAUSE THEY CAN HURT PEOPLES FEELINGS YOU FUCKING DISSATISFIED BRONIES- I MEAN CARTOON PONIES"
But here?
This isn't pain.
It's cute.
These cute little cartoon ponies hopping about and flying about, they're fun to be around.
And a little annoyance at how annoying they can sometimes be won't change that.
These are Toons, having heavy shit land on you won't actually hurt you.

I have said this before. I can even prove that this is not a new idea from me since I said it in both of the Silver Star threads. All posts with swedish flags are mine so if you wanna check you can.
I said, that I have always thought your observation and analyse of the show is pretty spot on however when you write your own fiction...
I just don't know what went wrong.

>"Why are you always like this?! Why are we even friends?!"
>"Can't I have one day without this bullshit?!"
>"I wish I never met you!" because lol what is consistent writing
Yeah, can imagine that the show has become more melodramtic but on the top of my head I can't come up with any examples of it.

>suicide
I think he is refering to the episode, "No Second Pranches." In it, Trixe meets Starlight for the first time and the form a friendship. Trixie wants Starlight to help her with a trick for her show. Trixie is going to shoot herself from a canon into the mouth of a manticore and Starlight is suppose to teleport her out of it.
But they have a fight and so Trixe does the most reasonable thing anyone could do in her situation: She fucking intends to go through with the manticore trick for her show even though Starlight isn't there to do the crucial part of saving her life. And she goes through with it.
Starlight does return in time to teleport her out of the mouth of the manticore but the key thing here is that Trixie did not know that Starlight had returned.
Like how is anyone suppose to interprete this. Is Trixie retarded? Does she not get that being eaten results in her death? Or is she trying to guilt trip Starlight through suicide??? Or is she atempting suicide for real? It is one of the stupidest things in the entire show.
>"DO NOT SAY MEAN THINGS EVEN WHEN ANGRY, BECAUSE THEY CAN HURT PEOPLES FEELINGS YOU FUCKING DISSATISFIED BRONIES- I MEAN CARTOON PONIES"
Yeah, "Fame and Fortune," I have't seen but just on the basis of the song in the episode I dislike it. "We are not perfect." Yeah, I never said you were.
In the end the new creators couldn't handle critism and well, start to victimize themselves. While there probably have been spergs over the years that have step over bounderies when it came to critize the creators, the point... are many points actually. For one they are not the entire fandom who has a lot of fans defending their epsiodes against one another. Most talk about the episodes amongst themselves instead of talking directly to the creators. If anyone in this fandom oversteps their bounderies, I bet their will be sychophants (and just ordinary fans obivously) there to defend them and the fandom will try to lecture those who do.
I think people should be able to criticize their critics. I also think that one for one's own sake shouldn't let it take over one's own art. They could have gone about in different way. There is something off with this bombastic yet passive way of criticizing someone that I can't put my finger on right now.

There is more to this as well but I ain't got the time.

Your Dislike for Starlight Glimmer has always sort of made sense to me. She reprsents, to me, the moment in the show where the show went bad. Season six was where the show started to spiral down. Have heard that that's when most of these new writers took control of the ship but I don't know. Will check it later when I have time. Regardless, it is very clear that the show really takes a dip from there.
The episodes I saw of season seven were painful and the rest I haven't even watched. There are episodes that are good in all seasons, probably. I'm talking about the general trend.

I had more to say about the current show but that will have to wait.

I can see that. I didn't think about the first time through either. I genuinely believe the writers were trying to write the whole, a character is trying to do something they can't do alone because they are stubborn or whatever.
It fails though because, I can't come up with an example for such a scene right now, but usually the thing the character is trying to do is something that is at least feasibly possible to do.

It's the hypocrisy of the show's way of addressing criticism that bothers me.
The show's willing to say things like "this bad thing is bad" and "That bad idea is bad" and "That problem needs to be fixed".
The show's fucking focus has changed to "The OC of the week has their character arc resolved in 22 minutes by my ponies of choice" when the Execs aren't making you shill a toyset or a character who actuylly has a toy of them.
The show's willing to call problems problems when it's convenient.
The show's willing to make a big deal out of "Problem people", slightly-wrong people who get demonized and painted as terrible people. Like the mean old diversity-hating white man and the Daring Do fanboy who loses RD's love and the respect of the writers for not loving writiers uwu and the Flutter's retcon-brother, the fag based on some obvious-female writer's jobless ex.
The show's willing to demonize people with "Problematic Opinions" and anyone who isn't up to their high standards, while excusing literal murderers(don't make me bring up the fact that her massive glass wall of cutie marks contained more marks than her village had Equal'd asses, or the fact that her actions to shoot a filly out of the sky and intentionally ruin a good timeline to piss off the hero who debunked communism and create more easily-conquerable and chaotic Equestrias resulted in at least ten different flavours of mass death and oppression and suffering in each one) and psychotic cunts like Trixie.
The same show tells you to hate Yaks (how the authors see dissatisfied critics whose complaints could get a show cancelled) and love this one girl Yak in diverse school, and hate "Rotten" people like Flutter Brutter for taking advantage of Fluttershy's parents's leniency while loving Glimmer despite how she took advantage of Equestria's leniency.
This is some motherfucking Charmed shit right here.
Some ass-fucking canon-contradicting Charmed shit right here.
A real fucking "In one episode, a potentially evil magic boy with fire powers learns he doesn't have to be evil just because he has fire powers. A few episodes later, a hero learns that a woman has fire powers, suspects that she's evil because of them, and turns out to be right" moment only stretched out to cover not a story arc, but the entire existences of certain characters within this setting.
We're supposed to buy that a Ponyville that mistreats Fluttershy for being a pussy wouldn't do anything to avenge their murdered/drafted/enslaved alternate-universe counterparts on Glimmer or Trixie?
Don't "but changing the timeline erased them" me, the show never directly stated what model of multiverse fuckery they're using. Twilight and Spike didn't fade away once the events that led to them becoming who they are were changed, so canon leans towards the warverse, bugverse, and all the others continuing to exist in other timelines.
The show has no consistency left because the writers are faggots.
And their show is all about solving complaints and problems big and small 99 times out of 100 now.
Because "Introduce problem, resolve problem, end" is fag's first writing lesson.
But
The show's staff aren't willing to listen to any complaints or fix any problems with their writing.
The fagstaff are always willing to take all sorts of credit and praise from brony sites desperate to feel legit and have real "Celebrities" on to be "Interviewed".
They're happy to be praised by people who want to be seen praising them.
They're happy to be called slightly above-average for stealing the show from its actual creators, the people who made the show far above average.
But bring up one basic writing problem in any show any halfway decent editor would notice on one fucking check of the script before it's animated?
"Omg stop expecting quality from us! We're not perfect, we admit it, and we're doing nothing to change that so shut up. We're just making this show for the little girls who blindly loved this show and begged Mommy to buy toys before Faust came along and brought fucking men into our fandom, shut up critics you're literally Yaks who want everything we've worked so hard on destroyed! How dare you jeapordize our easy life by criticizing us where Hasbro can hear you! Do you want them to fire and replace us or something?! You're toxic fans who shouldn't be listened to or agreed with!"
They're willing to accept "Ur such a gud writer" with "haha yes im cool"
and reject "You fucked up here" with "Shut up I write exclusively for tasteless infants!"
And tasteless infants don't even care. They keep buying this marketable wannabe-waifu PASTE.
These fags wearing FIM's corpse as a bathrobe are willing to shake their asses in it and call themselves sexy.
Call them ugly and they say "Fuck you, I dance exclusively for the retarded little girls who find this sexy! Besides, this shit I'm wearing has always been ugly and for retarded little girls only!"
I'm no Faustfag, I don't see her as a god, just a pretty smart writer who worked with other smart writers to make this show great.
They're all gone now.

All that's left of the original team is the faggot who wanted season 1 to contain the on-screen death of Applejack's parents, if I remember that right.
Now that the villain's taken over, he and his faggot squad created an environment where nobody is told no and nobody has to try.
Freelancers can have Fluttershy's animal-filled vet clinic "Become" a vet clinic.
As long as they promise to let a faggy editor shoehorn a "Fuck critics uwu! The correct response to having creative differences with your team... Is to fire and replace everyone so you can get your way!" "moral" into the episode so it'll please a faggot enough for it to get approved.
If I worked for this show, and this fag liked me enough, I could probably get away with having Twilight Sparkle snog Silver Star Apple on-screen.
Right after dedicating 22 minutes to having the show fellate him harder than that Sonic Boom episode fellated Shadow the Hedgehog over 44 minutes.
If I promised to let him add some "Glimmer outshines my OC in the raw power department at logic's expense because golly Glimmer just has to have the highest power level, as if that's fucking ever been what anyone cares about" scene to my episode.
I could even be a cunt and make the entire episode be the same "Some pony says Grr, I hate this new guy, nobody's that cool about Silver. Then he gives the pony a reason to say, Holy shit he showed me how cool he is! Now I love him!" joke over and over. Like Sakamoto Desu Ga but without the charm and wit.
>Inb4 "But your fanfic, the one you only wrote 2 out of 22 episodes for, was literally that the whole time! I looked into the future with my [EPITAPH] to see what your fanfic was going to be!"
It's the same shit seen in the comics circlejerk VS comicsgate community. Impotent narcissists hired for office-politics "You hate Thrackerzod and promise to back me up whenever I threaten another office worker to feel strong and gain more power over the office, so I can keep this job I'm not qualified for and keep lazily producing low-effort content and keep making this office less good at what it's here for, harming the entire company's bottom line by being here and then blaming that on fans I don't like, right? You're hired!" bullshit rather than actual talent don't make good writers. Or good people.
Every time you criticize a bad comic or bad episode, you're indirectly attacking their livelihood in their retarded panicky snowflake lefty minds. An attack on the delusions and narratives (especially the "It contains X, aka Maud/Blacked white character, so it must be good") that let retards keep their jobs is an attack on their ability to keep this job. Which makes it "Okay" in their head for them to directly commit financial and physical and social terrorism against you, your family, your products, and your little mailbox too.
In all areas of life, leftists aren't human.
And it's sad to see that FIM has fallen to these little shits.

>why are people cunts in your story
Tried to establish Canterlot as a cunty town, and the world outside Equestria he travelled so much to be a dark(by pony standards, as is part of the joke) place, so it means something when he moves to the shockingly nice town of Ponyville and starts to become kinder over time. Probably went overboard.

I might get back to this when I have time to write more. However, it is hard to read this text and while I am none to talk, it is still true. I will (probably) have to decipher this later.

">why are people cunts in your story"
I never actually said this. The problem with that part of Sivler Star is that his cuntiness doesn't lead to anything. There is no payoff for all the setup.

>establish Canterlot as a cunty town
I didn't get the impression that Canterlot was cunty in your fic just that Silver Star was from the time Silver was in Canterlot. Like his meeting with the three ponies gives off the impression that Silver is the one making other ponies in the town jaded rather than the opposite.

>when he moves to the shockingly nice town of Ponyville and starts to become kinder over time
You did this well with the scene with Pinkie Pie. That's my favorite part of the entire story. Perhaps I'm bias since she is my favorite horse.

I am not a nip picking fan at all, and I hate nip picking, but I can't stand the writer abusing of the purple book horse and how the story doesn't make any sense especially the MOVIE where it was supposed to be a grand work.
>Pinkie Pie blew entire mane six cover by jumping around in a city and left a pink hair for Tempest to find. (Even though she took thing serious and willingly to earn her friends back even if she can't have fun for hours.)
>Rainbow Dash fly out and make a sonic rainboom for no reason, she gave away the position of airship, engander crews and cat man, and nearly kill them
>Twilight is the only one who got called out, hatred by friends and suffered the consequence of her action
