Firstly be careful of the term unemployment rate. It is a questionable stat:

Other things to note, as various demographics age, retirement goes up. This has nothing to do with who is President. White boomers are currently retiring en-mass. No President can change that. That was set in stone in the 40s and 50s and ended by The Pill in 1960.

Also be careful of articles labelled opinion, it allows misreporting because it implies no fact checking.
