The key to understanding Laibach is that they're basically massive trolls. They were doing the clownworld meme eons before the internet was even a thing. The band name is what the capital city of Slovenia (not even going to try to spell or pronounce it) was renamed to under Nazi occupation. They deliberately use provocative political imagery but combine it with an incredibly vague message, so it seems like they're making a bold political statement but you can't figure out what the statement is. Rammstein pretty blatantly plagiarized their image actually, although Laibach has repeatedly said they don't take offense to them doing it. Rammstein never really got the joke though, they just latched onto the edgelord imagery and remade it as industrial metal without any irony or humor. Basically Laibach is 4chan and Rammstein is Reddit.

Anyway, their whole artistic concept is basically a parody of the entirety of Western politics. They use left-wing and right-wing iconography pretty much interchangeably and make their presentation of it as incomprehensible as possible. They also like to make fun of America quite a bit, pic 1 related is the shirt from one of their American tours. In the 80s they created a conceptual nation state called the NSK that you could become a "citizen" of basically by declaring yourself a member. It was pretty much the same idea as Kekistan, except that with Kekistan the normalfags found out about it too soon and ruined it, again basically a problem of people glomming onto an idea without fully appreciating the concept. The NSK was issuing fake passports as conceptual art pieces for a while, but they had to stop because apparently someone in Nigeria was buying them and reselling them as actual passports to refugees trying to flee the country lmao.

Again they never specifically state their political views, but I do get the impression they're probably /ourguys/ in one way or another. I wouldn't be half a bit surprised if they lurked here. I can pretty much guarantee you they browse /pol/.

Their music is not the most accessible thing to listen to; Rammstein at the very least is much better at producing catchy tunes you can hum in the shower. If anyone is familiar with The Residents it requires a similar kind of taste. However, they're a really fun band to get into. I suspect they're one of a very small number of 20th century acts that will still be historically noted in 1000 years. Even if you don't like their music, their visual aesthetic sense is amazing.

and gave me an idea, if anyone is caught with fake passports can`t acces EU again for life. so, giving free fake passports to rapefugees would be a good investment
