>The turmoil in the Middle East has been instigated in part by fiscal mismanagement. When the money was rolling in with high oil prices, it was assumed, as always, that whatever trend is in motion will remain in motion. Consequently, the government expanded their spending assuming money would continue to flow in. When oil broke, the fiscal mismanagement has been exposed for all to see if they care to look.

>Falling oil prices have decimated revenues and trade in the region. Security worries about terrorism, particularly in the US, have led to cuts in airline routes. Then there has also been a long-running diplomatic and trade impasse between Saudi Arabia and its allies on the one hand, and Qatar on the other. Now the good-old-days of easy money and rapid growth has led to concerns about over-capacity, waste, and corruption that nobody cared about when money flowed like oil.

>We are witnessing the beginning of a Middle East War between the Sunni and Shiite where the latter opposes kings and the state should be ruled by religious leaders. Iran and its Lebanese ally, the militant Shia group Hezbollah, claim the Saudis detained Mr. Saad El-Din Rafik Al-Hariri is a Lebanese-Saudi politician who has been the Prime Minister of Lebanon since December 2016. They allege that Saudi Arabia forced his resignation. Rex Tillerson said he had received assurances that Mr. Hariri was free to leave anytime.

>According to Reuters, there was “no line-up of Saudi princes or ministry officials, as would typically greet a prime minister on an official visit to King Salman”, they reported with senior sources close to Hariri and top Lebanese political and security officials said. Reuters reported that Hariri’s phone was confiscated, and the next day he was forced to resign as prime minister in a statement broadcast by a Saudi-owned TV channel.

>If this is true, then we are witnessing indeed a proxy-war emerging once again in Lebanon. This is a major struggle that is, in fact, seeking to reshape the Middle East with the war building between the conservative Sunni monarchy of Saudi Arabia and Shi‘ite revolutionary Iran. These two groups have already been in conflicts that have emerged in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, where they back opposing sides. This appears to be now expanding to destabilize Lebanon, where the Saudis have opposed the Iran-backed Hezbollah group, which is Lebanon’s main political power and part of the ruling coalition. The historical profile of war involving Lebanon is as follows:

> First Arab-Israeli War (1948–1949), which involved Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen.

> 1958 Lebanon Crisis
> Lebanese Civil War (1975–1990) Syrian occupation of Lebanon and the Israeli Security Zone
> South Lebanon Conflict (1985–2000)
> July War (2006) Hezbollah and Israel Stalemate
> Fatah al-Islam Rebellion (2007)
> 2008 conflict in Lebanon Hezbollah victory
> Syria War spillover in Lebanon (2011-2017)

>Interesting enough, there have been eight events in 69 years and that works out to 8.625-year cycle on the surface without correlating it to history. According to Reuters, Hariri had to be removed because he was unwilling to confront Hezbollah.

>What we can determine, is from a cyclically perspective, 2017 was the turning point from which we should expect to see a rise in the clash between Iran and Saudi groups.

>When you turn the economy down, that is historically when tensions rise.

As the West ages it will buy less. The weaker periphery of the economic structure will fail first and cascade up the chain. Under this stress Saudi Arabia will get more aggressive in an attempt to survive. No one cares about ideology when times a good, when times are bad ideology is used to manipulate the masses who run on emotional reactions rather than logic and pragmatism.

See >>86425 → >>86521 → >>86522 →

My instincts tell me this will keep getting bigger not smaller. If I extrapolate from Armstrong's charts (Pic 2 & 3), the West's Social Marxism is due for collapse in 2032. The West will be vulnerable. Whereas Islam will be rising up into 2123. This does not look good for the West. I guess though the Islamic people need to battle over which version will be at the top first.

Arab League To Hold Urgent Meeting On Iran As Saudis Reportedly Mobilize Fighter Jets

>The Arab League is set to hold an emergency meeting on Iran at Saudi Arabia's request, this according diplomatic sources in contact with the AFP and according to various regional sources, at a moment when Saudi fighter jets may be mobilizing for war in an attempted show of force. Egypt-based Ahram Online also reports further that the meeting will discuss "Iranian interference" in the region at League headquarters in Cairo, and other early unconfirmed reports indicate the meeting could come as early as next Sunday.

>News of the Arab League extraordinary session comes as tensions are at breaking point as regional powers - especially Saudi Arabia and Israel - talk war against perceived Iranian expansion and domination in the Middle East.

>Meanwhile, The Daily Star, citing the Baghdad Post, claims that Saudi Arabia has scrambled its air force for strikes in Lebanon: "Reports now state the Royal Saudi Air Force has placed its warplanes on alert to launch strikes as the region sits on a knife edge."

>The report accompanies undated footage of Saudi F-15's in areal maneuvers over what is presumably a Saudi airfield.

https://southfront.org/saudi-authorities-arrested-the-engineer-of-the-syrian-war-reports/
>The Saudi Authorities arrested Prince Bandar bin Sultan as a part of the anti-corruption” purge that was launched by Saudi Arabia King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, according to a report of the Middle East Eye (MEE) online news portal.
>Prince Bandar is a former Saudi ambassador to the US, and he is known to be a friend of former US President George W Bush, and former Syrian president Hafez Assad. Prince Bandar become really famous in 2011 when he was tasked with leading the Saudi efforts to fight Syria president Bashar al-Assad.
>Prince Bandar quickly become known as “the engineer of the Syria war” after he organized everything about the war, from the political opposition to armed groups in Syria. According to many reports the Prince was behind shipping tons of weapons and thousands of Jihadists from all over the world to feed the war against the Syrian government.
>The engineer of the Syrian war went to great length while trying to remove Bashar al-Assad, he was accused of founding the al-Nusra Front (al-Qaeda branch in Syria) and even ISIS later. The prince even offered Russia a bribe to stop supporting Assad back in 2013.
>Prince Bandar is the brother of Salman bin Sultan Al Saud who ordered the Free Syrian Army to attack the Syrian capital Damascus back in 2013 according to leaked NSA document.
>Because of his crooked ways that have no limits and after ISIS raise in 2014, Prince Bandar was removed from his position as the main planner of the battle against Assad. Bandar was replaced by Prince Muhammad bin Nayef and Prince Mohammad bin Salman himself.
>The two reportedly suspended many of the operations, which were planned by Bandar, and engaged in a direct dialogue with Russia in what appears to be an effort to hide Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting terrorist groups in Syria.
>If Saudi officials confirm the arrest of Prince Bandar, it could be a sign that the new Saudi leadership led by the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman is willing to make radical changes in the Saudi Arabia polices regarding Syria. Or, it’s just another sign of the sky-high tensions within the Saudi leadership.

I had it since yesterday night in the wee hours. Some friend of mine posted it, so that's the only I came across it since I don't go to /pol/. I think some elements of it are bull; such as Paddock being shot (when it looked like a suicide by pistol… maybe), two shooters, and the deal itself being illegal goods. Although, I wouldn't discount the last point, it was believed he obtained the weapons legally. So, it's possible he worked in legality, however I know he had shady connections like his father. Maybe he got in contact with the Saudis through gambling? What's their stake in that industry?

The thing that niggles in the back of my mind is if the US swamp is draining then other swamps around the world might drain also.

Quote:

Habib took me by the hand and led me to the doorway of another room. It
was a dining room of sorts where an informal array of guests was gathered. As
soon as Habib appeared in the doorway, King Fahd of Saudi Arabia quickly
excused himself from the table and approached. He was wearing a multicolored
robe and headwear with a black-brown rope band. I was instantly repulsed by
his "wicked" lecherous gaze, I stepped back into the other room in fear. Habib
introduced him. "This is one of 'my friends' I mentioned in my letter."
I robotically responded, "It's a pleasure to meet you" and extended my hand
as taught in Charm School. Fahd bent over to kiss my hand. As he did, his
evil black eyes bore into mine as he softly said, "Your beauty warms my
embers. See them glowing deep within the darkness of my eyes-igniting into
flame-black flame." He laughed wickedly at the effect of his use of NASA
hypnotic conditioning,
Habib slapped him on the shoulder as though they knew each other well and
there were no formalities between them and asked, "Am I right? Is that fit for a
King?"'
The three of us went into another room that appeared to be a guest bedroom
that Habib was occupying. He closed the door and told me, "Diplomatic
relations are very important. You know the old saying 'when in Rome do as
Romans do'. Well, he's a King. Get on your knees. His wish is your
command. Satisfy his deepest wishes. It's your turn for a magic carpet ride, so
turn your Genie free."

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/middle_east/why-iran-is-a-major-threat/

>The Yemeni Civil War is an ongoing conflict that began in 2015 between two factions. Each is claiming to constitute the Yemeni government. This is really a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Tran. The Houthi forces control the capital Sana’a who are allied with forces loyal to the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh backed by Saudi Arabia. They are opposed by Yemen’s Shiite rebels who are loyal to the religious government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, based in Aden, supported by Iran.

>To grasp what this is all about, one must understand Islam. Saudi Arabia in Sunni that boils down to a separation of church and state. They are fighting the Shiite forces of Iran, which believe that religion should control the state. Therefore, the ballistic missile fired by Yemen’s Shiite rebels toward the Saudi capital was manufactured by Iran as if this should be any surprise given that Iran is their backer.

>This conflict in the Middle East is religious based. This is similar to the threat of Russia back in the Cold War days when Nikita Khrushchev ruled Russia and the ideology that Marxism would conquer Capitalism was the entire issue. Here we have Iran which is similarly a threat to the world political structure because this is where religion should rule the state. Christianity went through that where the state was ruled by religion and to circumvent religion, kings appointed their political allies as priests, bishops, and cardinal. That led to the Investiture Controversy which was the major conflict between the Pope Gregory VII and the Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV during the 11th century.

>Emperor Henry declared Pope Gregory was no longer pope and the Romans should choose a new pope because of political disputes. When Pope Gregory heard of this he excommunicated Henry IV, declared he was no longer emperor and absolved his subjects from the oaths they had sworn to him. This was the battle of kings to control the Church for political gain.

>Church, one need only just look before the headline. Henry’s Queen was Catherine of Aragon (1485–1536) who was the aunt of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V (1500–1558) and was originally Charles I of Spain. Charles V had imprisoned the Pope Clement VII (1478– 1534) following the Sack of Rome in May 1527. Correct, the Holy Roman Emperor invaded Rome to take control of the Church and imprisoned the Pope. There was no way Charles V would allow Henry VIII to annul the marriage with his aunt. Once again we have evidence of kings controlling religion for political purposes.

>What is unfolding in the Middle East is similar to the war between Protestants and Catholics, which was really for political and economic power. The corruption in the Church was not the design of the Pope when it had been the kings who appointed people in their domain to run the Church – not the Pope. Nothing could illustrate this point more than the case of Saint Thomas Becket (c. 1119–1170), who was a personal drinking buddy of the King. When he appointed him as Arch Bishop of Canterbury, he suddenly found religion. He then stood up to the King and he was slain right at the Altar.

>This is a similar nature where here it is the religious Shite seeking to take control of the Middle East and overthrow kings. The recent Saudi Arabia incident of shooting down the Iranian missile on November 4th, 2017 near Riyadh’s international airport, illustrates just how confrontational this really is. Why Obama cut any sort of a deal with Iran given their political beliefs, is truly beyond contemplation.

That's always their goal.

As the "Saudis did it all" narrative is crafted while the public watches, note that what's not said is how the Saudis are merely footsoldiers - while it's Israel that controls the show.

Any narrative that doesn't expose how it's Israel that's both controlled and attacked the US for the past half century can only be a limited hangout - intended to sacrifice pawns in order to forever absolve Israel of its crimes.

Reining in the Rogue Royal of Arabia

By Patrick J. Buchanan:

If the crown prince of Saudi Arabia has in mind a war with Iran, President Trump should disabuse his royal highness of any notion that America would be doing his fighting for him.

Mohammed bin Salman, or MBS, the 32-year-old son of the aging and ailing King Salman, is making too many enemies for his own good, or for ours.

Pledging to Westernize Saudi Arabia, he has antagonized the clerical establishment. Among the 200 Saudis he just had arrested for criminal corruption are 11 princes, the head of the National Guard, the governor of Riyadh, and the famed investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

The Saudi tradition of consensus collective rule is being trashed.

MBS is said to be pushing for an abdication by his father and his early assumption of the throne. He has begun to exhibit the familiar traits of an ambitious 21st-century autocrat in the mold of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.

Yet his foreign adventures are all proving to be debacles.

The rebels the Saudis backed in Syria’s civil war were routed. The war on the Houthi rebels in Yemen, of which MBS is architect, has proven to be a Saudi Vietnam and a human rights catastrophe.

The crown prince persuaded Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE to expel Qatar from the Sunni Arab community for aiding terrorists, but he has failed to choke the tiny country into submission.

Last week, MBS ordered Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri to Riyadh, where Hariri publicly resigned his office and now appears to be under house arrest. Refusing to recognize the resignation, Lebanon’s president is demanding Hariri’s return.

After embattled Houthi rebels in Yemen fired a missile at its international airport, Riyadh declared the missile to be Iranian-made, smuggled into Yemen by Tehran, and fired with the help of Hezbollah.

The story seemed far-fetched, but Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said the attack out of Yemen may be considered an “act of war” — by Iran. And as war talk spread across the region last week, Riyadh ordered all Saudi nationals in Lebanon to come home.

Riyadh has now imposed a virtual starvation blockade — land, sea and air — on Yemen, that poorest of Arab nations that is heavily dependent on imports for food and medicine. Hundreds of thousands of Yemeni are suffering from cholera. Millions face malnutrition.

The U.S. interest here is clear: no new war in the Middle East, and a negotiated end to the wars in Yemen and Syria.

Hence, the United States needs to rein in the royal prince.

Yet, on his Asia trip, Trump said of the Saudi-generated crisis, “I have great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, they know exactly what they are doing.”

Do they? In October, Jared Kushner made a trip to Riyadh, where he reportedly spent a long night of plotting Middle East strategy until 4 a.m. with MBS.

No one knows how a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran would end. The Saudis has been buying modern U.S. weapons for years, but Iran, with twice the population, has larger if less-well-equipped forces.

Yet the seeming desire of the leading Sunni nation in the Persian Gulf, Saudi Arabia, for a confrontation with the leading Shiite power, Iran, appears to carry the greater risks for Riyadh.

For, a dozen years ago, the balance of power in the Gulf shifted to Iran, when Bush II launched Operation Iraqi Freedom, ousted Saddam Hussein, disarmed and disbanded his Sunni-led army, and turned Iraq into a Shiite-dominated nation friendly to Iran.

In the Reagan decade, Iraq had fought Iran as mortal enemies for eight years. Now they are associates, if not allies.

The Saudis may bristle at Hezbollah and demand a crackdown. But Hezbollah is a participant in the Lebanese government and has the largest fighting force in the country, hardened in battle in Syria’s civil war, where it emerged on the victorious side.

While the Israelis could fight and win a war with Hezbollah, both Israel and Hezbollah suffered so greatly from their 2006 war that neither appears eager to renew that costly but inconclusive conflict.

In an all-out war with Iran, Saudi Arabia could not prevail without U.S. support. And should Riyadh fail, the regime would be imperiled. As World War I, with the fall of the Romanov, Hohenzollern, Hapsburg and Ottoman empires demonstrated, imperial houses do not fare well in losing wars.

So far out on a limb has MBS gotten himself, with his purge of cabinet ministers and royal cousins, and his foreign adventures, it is hard to see how he climbs back without some humiliation that could cost him the throne.

Yet we have our own interests here. And we should tell the crown prince that if he starts a war in Lebanon or in the Gulf, he is on his own. We cannot have this impulsive prince deciding whether or not the United States goes to war again in the Middle East.

We alone decide that.

Saudi Arabia Offers Arrested Royals A Deal: Your Freedom For Lots Of Cash

>As we noted shortly after the Crown Prince’s purge of potential rivals within Saudi Arabia’s sprawling ruling family, while the dozens of arrests were made under the pretext of an "anti-corruption crackdown", Mohammed bin Salman’s ulterior motive was something else entirely: Replenishing the Kingdom’s depleted foreign reserves, which have been hammered for the past three years by low oil prices, with some estimating that the current purge could potentially bring in up to $800 billion in proceeds.

>Furthermore, the geopolitical turmoil unleashed by the unprecedented crackdown helped push oil prices higher, creating an ancillary benefit for both the kingdom’s rulers and the upcoming IPO of Aramco.

Saudi 'Corruption' Probe Widens: Dozens Of Military Officials Arrested

>After jailing dozens of members of the royal family, and extorting numerous prominent businessmen, 32-year-old Saudi prince Mohammed bin Salman has widened his so-called 'corruption' probe further still.

>The Wall Street Journal reports that at least two dozen military officers, including multiple commanders, recently have been rounded up in connection to the Saudi government’s sweeping corruption investigation, according to two senior advisers to the Saudi government.

>Additionally, several prominent businessmen also were taken in by Saudi authorities in recent days.

>There appear to be three scenarios behind MbS' decision to go after the military:

> 1) They are corrupt and the entire process is all above board and he is doing the right thing by cleaning house;

> 2) They are wealthy and thus capable of being extorted (a cost of being free) to add to the nation's coffers; or
> 3) There is a looming military coup and by cutting off the head, he hopes to quell the uprising.

>While MbS also continues to get the support of US officials, not everyone is convinced that the anti-corruption probe will succeed…

I noticed the David Icke logo in the image and decide to do a book search. Quote:

Saddam Hussein, the designated villain of the Gulf conflict, was in fact one of
the gang, at least up to this point. He was a member of the elite Safari Club, which
began as a consortium involving Saddam, SAVAK (the secret police of the Shah of
Iran), Anwar Sadat, the later-assassinated President of Egypt, and Saudi Arabian
Intelligence. It has been implicated in countless coups in Africa to further its goals
and is heavily involved in arms trading and supply. Out of the Safari Club came the
Pinay Circle, or Le Cercle, named after the French Prime Minister Antoine Pinay. He
was a major Illuminati asset who attended the first official meeting of the elite
Bilderberg Group at Oosterbeek, Holland, in May 1954. Others involved with Le
Cercle included the Habsburg family, a major Illuminati bloodline. To give you an
idea of its make-up and range of influence, the Le Cercle membership has included
Nicholas Elliot, a department head at Britain's M16; William Colby, a former
director of the CIA; Colonel Botta of Swiss Military Intelligence; Stefano Della
Chiaie, a leading member of the Italian Secret Service; Giulio Andreotti, Henry
Kissinger's friend, the former Italian Prime Minister from the notorious and
terrorist P2 Freemasonry lodge, and the man who gave Mafia officials protection;
Silva Munoz, a former minister for the fascist Franco in Spain and a member of the
elite secret society within the Roman Catholic network, Opus Dei; Franz Josef
Strauss, the German Defence Minister; and Monsignore Brunello, an agent to the
Vatican. In America, one of the Le Cercle fronts is alleged to be the CIA-backed
Heritage Foundation in Washington. Look at the potential for such an organisation
to be a coordinating force between apparently different agencies and countries to
achieve a common aim. Le Cercle and the Safari Club are basically the same entity,
which is why, as the Wall Street Journal reported on August 16th 1990, it was the CIA
that supported the Baath Party in Iraq and installed Saddam Hussein as dictator in
1968, just as they did with Colonel Gaddafi in Libya. But it is important to
remember that everyone is expendable to the cause if it best serves the agenda.
Saddam Hussein was encouraged by the Americans and the British to go to war
with the CIA/British Intelligence-imposed regime of the Ayatollah Khomeini in
Iran in 1980. The war dragged on for eight years amid appalling suffering and loss
of life. But it was good for the oil, banking and armament cartel (all controlled by
the Illuminati), and for divide and rule. The British government armed both sides in
this conflict and some (but only some) of this scandal surfaced through the Scott
Inquiry into illegal arms sales to Iraq that reported in 1996. The Iran-Iraq War is a
grotesque example of problem-reaction-solution. The CIA looked after Khomeini
during his exile in Paris to ensure he was ready and waiting to take over when the
Shah, another CIA puppet, had outlived his usefulness. Now Saddam would be
used again, knowingly or otherwise, to start another war in the Gulf by invading
Kuwait. Author and researcher George C. Andrews reported:

"A little known fact about the Gulf War is that one month before our Declaration of War
on December 15, 1990, Secretary of State James Baker, signed the US Army Report
from the 352nd Civil Affairs Command on the New Kuwait [unclassified, and therefore
available to those interested]. This report describes in detail how extensively Kuwait will
be destroyed, how the oil wells will be set on fire, and then how it will all be rebuilt
' better than before', with despotism, instead of democracy, even more entrenched than
i t had been before. The report includes a list of US corporations who will be assigned
the profitable task of rebuilding Kuwait and extinguishing the oil fires, as well as the
Arab names they will be operating under. [Exactly the same was done before the "war"

" Why have none of his political opponents thought of asking the obvious questions:
How did George Bush's so-called 'blind trust' make out during the time frame of the
Gulf War? Why are the huge business deals between Bush and Hussein still off-limits to
