I tell you why. Because there is no point in argueing with Nigel anymore. I stated this in the past but for several months now I am convinced that Nigel suffers from complusive behavior disorder and has a profound victim complex. He fabricates narratives out of this air where he is dogpiled on by a group of random posters out of thin air that be accuses of a sitewide conspiracy.

To clarify, I never met Nigel or his Fimfic or Discord detractors (at least that i know of) from outside the site. I was one of the first people to reply to his threads when he came here inially in June /i think( and made threads about his efforts in becoming a professional fanfic writer.

I sided with him during Glimmergate, i denounced the doxxing that was performed against him, I unironically believe that glimmer is - by far - the worst cannon pony in existence, I agree with him that Glimmerniggers do exist (perhaps even on MLPOL at the time) and, at times, i found most of his postings to offer some very detailed and agreeable perspective on some things.

However, ever since the peak escalation of glimmergate, Nigels temporary banishment and the subsequent threads on /sp/ and /qa/ I have come to change my mind. I do no longer think that Nigel is a genuine quality contributor to the site. He has personality problems that render him a permanent liability to the site, to the point where he has to potential to permanently damage the reputation of the community. The longer i read his responses to posts of other people the more i came to the realisation that he seems to lack and concept of actualisation, situational awareness or sometimes even just common sense. That, and he highly overvealueates his genuine contributions to the site and the community.

I have no bad wishes for Nigel, his Privacy or his livelihood, but I have reached a point where I have lost any sympathy for his character or his abrasive conduct. Unless he drastically changes his behavior he will remain a gruesome brand to this site, and this is something I will not support. Oh, and his poorly "custom" made edits of meme pictures reek of unoriginality and selfglorification.

Given how hostile the pushback from the current generation of mods and post gamergate userbase was against them I imagine that they feel displaced and uprooted now.
