>The barrier will be built on private land. Authorities in the El Paso Sector – which provides support for the counties of El Paso and Hudspeth in the state of Texas and the entire state of New Mexico – apprehend 930 people per day, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
>"This is the first time any private organization has built border wall on private land," Kobach told Pete Hegseth, adding that the Army Corps of Engineers had said previously that the strip of land was too rugged for fencing.

>Kobach said plans are in the works to start a second project.
>It came on the heels of a federal judge blocking President Trump from building key sections of his border wall with money secured under his declaration of a national emergency, delivering what may prove a temporary setback on one of his highest priorities.
>U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam Jr.'s order, issued Friday, prevents work from beginning on two of the highest-priority, Pentagon-funded wall projects — one spanning 46 miles in New Mexico and another covering 5 miles in Yuma, Ariz.

I bet we'll see some kind of effort from other (((parts))) of the private sector to buy up private land along the border in order to hinder wall construction. Mark my fucking words, they'll do absolutely everything in their power and expense to keep the border open. Thankfully, every mile of border that becomes less accessible makes border control easier as manpower is diverted to the gaps.

>New Mexico Mayor Orders Group Building Border Wall To Stop Construction

>The mayor of Sunland Park, New Mexico, has issued a cease-and-desist order to a private group that raised millions to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

>The cease-and-desist order was issued on Tuesday after it was determined that the group did not have the proper permits for construction, city spokesperson Peter Ibardo told The Texas Tribune.
>“The city has not provided any permits, it has not approved of the construction that has gone up already. They built the structure without authority or any building permits from the city," Ibardo said.

>Former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, who sits on the advisory board for We Build The wall, told the Tribune that the land owner obtained the proper permits needed for construction and that inspectors were present at the build site prior to the start of the build.
>However, Ibardo disputed the statement, telling the newspaper that while an application form was filed, it was incomplete and no permit was issued for construction. Inspectors who attempted to visit the site last week were not allowed to do so, he added.

>Kobach told the Tribune that construction for the half-mile length of wall a few miles from El Paso, Texas, cost between $6 and $8 million. The section of wall marks the first construction project from the group which previously faced controversy as donors questioned if the promised project would ever materialize after months passed with no updates on the progress of the wall.
>"There is no update because we are remaining silent for a very good reason. You all will have the best present very soon. Remember powerful people want to stop our progress, so to not tip anyone off we are radio silent!," Kolfage wrote on his Facebook page in response to the questions from donors. "The (American Civil Liberties Union) would file a lawsuit to impede our wall success if they knew where and when. But when I guaranteed we'd build the wall I meant it, and we are working with many congressman and senators to help us mitigate these issues from the left-wing attack groups. We are in the homestretch and it's on a need to know basis."
>Kolfage said in another Facebook post on Monday that the group is currently working on plans for a second wall, though he did not give a location or a time period when donors could expect to see construction begin.

>It is unclear if construction has halted on the wall, KTMS reported that contractors expected to complete installation of the barrier on Wednesday.

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
I fell in love with a big fucking wall
Nighttime would find me constructing the barrier
Music would play and the mortar would set

Stronger than granite were the bricks of this barrier
Chiseled and mighty while causing all thrall
My love was deep for this big fucking wall
I was in love, but in vain I could tell

One night a wild young wetback came in
Wild as the West Texas wind
Dashing and daring, a ladder he was carryin'
To try and scale the barrier I loved

So in anger I challenged his scaling of my beautiful border wall
Down went his hand for the gun that he wore
My challenge was answered in and paid with his all
The stupid young wetback lay dead on the floor.

>New Mexico Mayor
>Telling Texans what to do
Yeah that will go well for him, I'm sure. I don't know about the El Paso area, but in East Texas you don't have to have a permit for shit as long as it isn't adjacent to a road.

>The wall is finished and now we're finishing the access road and installing all the tech that makes this wall the best damn wall on our border.
>I'm not a politician or one of these media people so I won't jabber on about every little thing. I recorded this video update if you'd like to know more about what's happening here at the construction site.

This is a testament on how much Trump actually cared about building the wall, for Christ's sake.

This is a sign that people are gradually beginning to wake up and realize that it's easier to just do shit and take care of problems yourself rather than complaining that the government doesn't do it.

Could be that it isn't built in a gun free zone, and the fact that they would have to deal with construction workers. If they tried they would get a little taste on how an civil war actually would pan out for them.

Update from WeBuildTheWall

>This week we've been dealing with the International Boundary and Waterway Commission (IBWC) over a gate we installed next to our wall in Sunland Park, NM, free of charge. For about a day the IBWC locked the gate open and then we reached an agreement where they would keep the gate locked at night and only open the gate at intermittent times during the day to allow their employees access to the dam they manage.
>By Friday, our talks with the IBWC had gone so well that IBWC Commissioner Jayne Harkins put out a press release pledging to work together with me and WeBuildTheWall on other projects we are working on along the border. It was all very friendly.

>Everything was great but we continued to get calls from the media about comments made by IBWC PR Rep Lori Kuczmanski making materially false claims and violating the spirit of the cooperation we had made with top IBWC officials. We contacted the IBWC and they told us that they would talk to her and that she would be contacting the media who had quoted her and she would make corrections and retractions.
>On Saturday, when we continued to get calls from reporters asking us to respond to new attacks from Kuczmanski, we asked her to stop. That's when things got crazy!
http://archive.is/7U7x1

>She went on to call me and my team all kinds of childish names including libelous claims about me, Dustin, and WeBuildTheWall. Unfortunately for her, we've got all the proof and I dropped the BOOM on her!
http://archive.is/qZKOR

>Our lawyers have been in touch with the IBWC and have assured us that Kuczmanski's comments to the media and on Twitter DO NOT REPRESENT how they want to proceed with us. We expect that this rogue actor will be looking for work come Monday morning. That's good, because our other projects will be much easier with the cooperation of the IBWC.
