The polls were pretty nearly accurate for the first round. At least, they were closer to the actual results than US election polls normally are, and far closer than British polls. Many people will vote for Macron just because continuous media shilling has convinced most of the electorate that there is no greater evil than Le Pen or nationalism of any kind. forgery and use of forged documents and "spread of fake news in order to influence the election" earlier today, because Lepen implied that he might have an offshore bank account in the Bahamas. He didn't file the complaint against her though, he pressed charges against unknown person.

Now if he was running for presidency in the USA, although it's really hard to compare accurately and I don't know clearly where your parties stand I guess he would be democrat, somewhere in between Hillary and Sanders.
