I've seen a few episodes of the new season, haven't watched all of it. I'm still new enough to this fandom that I can still get enjoyment from watching, and I don't think what I've seen of the new season is as awful as people have said. Although I do think it's a far cry from what it used to be.
Anyway haven't seen this one and I love Christmas episodes of anything, think I'll postpone watching it until it gets closer to Christmas though.

I've put up with a lot over the show's runtime, but the most unforgivable thing they could have done was to spit on the pilot's moral by shoehorning the friendship school. It's not merely the fact that it's a toyetic thing to put in, it's not even the fact that the writers use the entire premise as one big race bait issue, it's the fact that Twilight has completely and utterly "forgotten" that friendship can't be taught from books and curriculum, and here we all are, eight years later, with Twilight doing exactly that. All for the sake of a fucking playset and whatever politically motivated brainwashing the writers want to stuff in now.
Kirins are overdesigned for the express purpose of looking unique enough to excuse a toyline, after the release of which they will never be seen or spoken of again in any capacity. Anyone who unironically likes them is a brain dead normie too blind to see it.
