Okay, to be fair there "technically" was no press ban, but almost nobody reported it, which is weird considering how disgusting this crime was. If it were a white man, the media would be all over that story, 24/7 coverage, you name it.

It would be running for months with debates about why it happened and the place it happened would be made into a memorial place where people would go to to lay down flowers. Songs would be written, concerts would be held.

I legitimately laugh when I see 'mass stabbing,' it just seems like such a stupid idea that someone can get away with stabbing a bunch of people like that, guns would probably stop these attacks and deter a majority of them in the first place.
Reduction of crime due to the introduction of firearms is hard to measure but we have a lot more data about how firearms actively deter'd a possible attacker and how many active attacks a firearm ended.
