Can anyone recommend me a good comprehensive history of the Americas, specifically the pre-Revolution period? Not just the British colonies either, like something that covers the French and Spanish colonies, the French and Indian wars, as well as early non-European civilizations like the Mayans and Aztecs and all that shit too. Ideally something that approaches the subject matter objectively, not the typical left-wing revisionist crap about smallpox blankets and muh poor natives and whatever the fuck. I've realized recently that I know a lot of ancient history about Rome and early Europe but don't know nearly as much American history as I really ought to, mostly just what I learned in public school which I suspect is fairly inaccurate.
Also, general recommendations thread I guess. Recommend things yourself or make requests; anything you think people here might like. Books, movies, games, whatever.

Sadly I can't recommend a book for you but try older american textbooks. My gandfather gave me his 1950s textbook for US history and it was really neat especially since it was before revisionism was really taking way.

Catholic but tbh I think reading the bible in english is pretty pointless.
I'd recommend reading philosophy, start with plato work your way up. I listen to all my books on audiobooks and just play mindless vidya while at it.
