Hollywood finally suffering some consequences for its conversion to being a (more explicit) proganda machine
>the Academy Awards plunged to a record-low viewership of 26.5 million people.
>The Nielsen company said that’s a 20 percent drop from the 33 million who watched the 2017 show, which was also hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
It’s the first time the Oscars have drawn fewer than 30 million people, in Nielsen records that go back to 1974.
>Only four years ago the Oscar reached nearly 44 million viewers.

This is despite its attempts at "diversity and inclusion"
>But the 2018 Oscars was also one of the most inclusive and diverse shows in years, with women and minorities competing in—and winning—major categories. The night's top winner was Mexican director Guillermo del Toro and his film The Shape of Water. Jordan Peele became the first black winner of the Best Original Screenplay Oscar. The Chilean movie A Fantastic Woman—which starred a transgender actress playing a transgender singer—won in the best foreign language film category, and Disney-Pixar's Mexico-set Coco secured two Oscar wins.

The Grammies had an even bigger drop, with a 24% fall
>Viewership of Sunday’s 60th annual Grammy Awards is down significantly from the 2017 telecast, nabbing the smallest audience in the show’s history in the key demo.
>In addition, the three and a half hour awards show is averaged a 5.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 19.8 million viewers, according to time zone adjusted numbers. Last year’s show drew a 7.8 and 26.1 million, meaning the 2018 Grammys are down approximately 24 percent in both measures.

The Superbowl saw a drop of 7%
>The NFL’s ratings slide continued through its final game of the season. According to Nielsen data released Monday, viewership for Super Bowl LII was measured at 103.4 million, the lowest figure for the game since 2009 and a 7 percent drop from last year’s game.
>The good news for the NFL is that its annual championship game still easily reigns supreme among all TV shows, and to a lesser extent, that the Super Bowl ratings drop from last year was lower than the league’s nearly 10 percent plunge for its regular season games.

The Oscars and Grammies weren't even worth watching in the first place. Even before they became more explicit with their propaganda, it was nothing but a Hollywood circle-jerk that didn't matter at all.

At this point as far as I'm concerned filmmaking is a dead art. Even without all the propaganda films have been just recycled scripts and ideas for a decade or more. I've been losing interest in the movies for years just due to the fact that they just plain aren't making good movies the way they used to, and now that they're focusing on all this fuck whitey crap I've decided I just plain don't feel like giving them my money anymore. There's plenty of older stuff I can watch, anime is still relatively uncucked, I should probably read more anyway, and if something comes out that I really want to see I can just pirate it. The lefties can keep having their little circlejerk until their industry dwindles into nothing as far as I'm concerned.

This. All the good films have already been made or will be indie-type projects that would be glossed over by Hollywood. It's better to just cut yourself off from the propaganda machine.

My parents were watching that shit. It was pure cringe. A stage arch made out of crystal and virtue signaling out the fucking ass.

Fuck (((Hollywood)))

>lowest viewership
>most diversity

What an interesting correlation, I'm sure those two things are completely unrelated.

(I can't find it, but imagine pic related is that newspaper headline like "School sees rise in SAT scores, but lower number of black students taking the test leads to worry")

Hollywood is literally a communist propaganda engine.
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/viewSubCategory.asp?id=369

film makings best bet at this point is crowdfunded indie productions. streaming & the internet have broken hollywoods entertainment monopoly and good anything can only survive communism for so long. theirs really nothing left for Hollywood but to whither and die, we can hope they don't drag theaters and film making in general down with them. but being commies they'll probably try to.

Hopefully the entire kike propaganda engine will fall, but we'll need to wait for dumb boomers to go extinct before that happens. Also we need to expect that nogs will always be watching.

It's like average folk don't like being told what to do and what to believe by people paid to act and deceive for a living.
