So the 2018 elections are coming up this November and the dems are very afraid of losing on the DACA deal. ( http://www.newsweek.com/daca-memo-democrats-2018-outrage-775988 ). Let's brain storm some ideas on how to make sure they lose.

Desu, this could be pretty bad if the dumb neocons in Congress don't get their shit together and get some stuff done before the midterm. A lot is at stack.

The fact that they got the tax bill passed is going to help them a lot. Democrats think they can replicate the Republican strategy of gaining ground in the midterms by obstructing and opposing everything the majority party tries to do, but so far the economy is booming, crime is down, illegal border crossings are down, unemployment is down, a lot of judges have been confirmed, regulations have been rolled back; Republicans have a lot of successes they can point to for 2017 despite their missteps, whereas Obama's first year was pretty lackluster by comparison. Democrats are literally trying to impede economic recovery over partisan bullshit, and that can majorly backfire on them.

The worst thing the Republicans could do right now is cave in and compromise on DACA, because they would just be giving up ground they don't need to. If the Democrats want to shut down the government or whatever, let them do it, it's far more likely to bite them in the ass than the Republicans. If the Republicans cave and compromise, Trump should veto anything that includes protection for the """""dreamers""""" and doesn't at an absolute minimum include wall funding, border patrol funding, and provisions to ensure that they can't bring their extended family over.

Agree to this. The more the Democrats tries to stops democratic process and policies the more Republicans will be elected. Like when the Democrats refused to show up for a vote in an attempt to stop the confirmation of nominees to the cabinet. The anti-democratic bullshit the Democrats engage in will only lead to more resentment towards them in the population. Antifa will love them for it, but people will not.

what house and senate seats are up and what's the effect illegal immigration is having on those areas? things like the replacement rate and the annual cost of immigration in regard to crime and entitlements. The thing most politicians today are most concerned about is reelection so let's zero in on how DACA and illegal immigration effect the constituents of the people up for reelection
