Alright mlpol, it's time for us to search 4chan for new members.
Fishing expeditions go something like this:
We look through /pol/ for threads likely to contain old /pol/lacks, and look for any posters lamenting the decline of /pol/.
A poster responds to them and says something along the lines of "remember the merged board where the horse fuckers scared the redditors off?"
If that gets a positive response, another poster (or the same poster) responds with something like "did you know they made their own website?" Or for less subtly and more risk, just send them a link.
Fishing expeditions using these approximate tactics have proved effective and gained us several new members. It's probably also worth thinking about how to fish from /mlp/, pone, or other sources of possible new members.

Also, we should really all try to remember to make several posts here each day. Start a thread if you have a random thought or a question and think it would make a decent discussion topic, make a point to scan the catalog and bump a thread or two at least every couple of hours even if it's just a quick response to someone. So I've been looking at the stories of new members from the /mlp/ side and I've been noticing that a considerable amount have come from Derpibooru. So seeing there is a ripe harvest there of pony anons there, we could consider anon fishing there.
Likely by simply dumping art into the /mlpol/ tag, luring in people interested political ponys and stuff we meme (like our brand of celestia worship). Anons get curious about what an /mlpol/ is and stumble on paradise.
