Of the poles and the Germans I have spoken to there seems to be a lot of indifference about each other. Less so for the Poles however. Some of the fresher polish immigrants to the states tend to be rather nationalistic and jingoistic. They don't like Germany mostly because of history, but the younger generations are caring less and less about it by the day.

Half of Prussia is in Poland and half of Poland is in the Ukraine. Difference is, the part that's Prussian is actually useful and has well developed cities, while the part that's in Ukraine is just a whole load of shit. Now the polish don't want to give up the old Prussian territories because they think because the communists moved E. Europe over half a country that they're entitled to that well developed land, even though most of it was already built and that which wasn't was built by taking shit from the Germans. Seriously, the Polish communists literally just tore up German towns their side of the boarder and repurposed all the materials, and then had the audacity to claim that it was all because of the great 'Polish People's Republic' that they got out of the destruction of the war so quickly.
Having all of this in mind, Putin has said he's open to discussion about the state of Eastern Europe and potentially returning Königsberg to Germany, but then the map of E. Europe would have to be redrawn anyway. Therefore, the nationalist Germans want the E. Prussian lands returned, and the polish would ree louder than any country before about it, so there's no movement on that front.
The entire situation is fucked up because the USSR was greedy and could do whatever the hell it wants. This is also why half of Lithuania is in the Ukraine.

If we're just talking about ethnics and cultural shit, a common E. German stereotype about the poles is that they steal all our shit and do all the garbage jobs. You constantly read in the newspaper about 'polish man steals X' or 'Polish seek jobs in Frankfurt an der Oder' They're the German Mexicans. Except we also have Kebabs doing the exact same thing, it's just not reported as much because bashing on the polish is acceptable cause they're not PC, and bashing on the roaches is 'muh racism'.

The fact that you give Germany parts of Silesia yet leave half of Pommern to the Polacks shows that you have no idea about what originally belonged to whom. If we're tracing back to the time of the Polish Kingdoms in an attempt to validate who's clay belongs to whom, Poland gets Silesia, and Germany gets Pomerania. Your argument about the Kaschubisch means little in the grand scheme of things, because they aren't polish. They're an ethnic minority with polish citizenship, and if you were in favor of the Kaschubisch you'd give them their own state. Still doesn't change the fact that the cities built there were built by Germans, though, and neither does it change the fact that Poland desperately wants sea access in an attempt to remain relevant.

One ugly thing about the post-war demands was that East Germans in modern Poland were "ethnically cleansed" and fled west lest they face heavy harassment/lynching. The present population is quite Polish and wouldn't want the borders to shift back, so even though it's rightful German land some compromise is needed. Plus, Baltic access is quite necessary for Poland.

I can see Putin returning Königsberg and possible giving Belarussian/Ukrainian territory to Poland, but that's not happening until both Poland and Germany leave NATO and become more amicable towards Russia. Russia is surrounded by enemies and needs the port province as an exclave.

This meme again. Noone here deems for own state or any kind of separatism. Plus language is closer to Polish than German anyway. Also, you settled there coz you were allowed to. Most kings gave a location privelege to settlers.

The leaf's kinda got a point, you use the Kaschubisch when it suits you and then throw them under the buss when they're revealed as irrelevant. Either it's polish land or German land, the Kaschubisch have always been irrelevant.
>>87610
What are you even going on about kings giving land? The lands had to be owned before hand, by a king and it's country. What's your argument about settling regions? Could you elaborate? What's it got to do with the lands being owned by a country?

If you're referring to the time the Teutonic Knights were under a Polish king, that argument is garbage, because giving land to a ethnic group of Germans and then reeing when they leave your control, claiming it's your land through proxy, is just stupid.

Uh, no sweetie, we got our access to see after the 1st WW mostly thanks to them. As it is said, "Nie ma Kaszëb bez Polonii, a bez Kaszëb Polśczi" as said by Hieronim Derdowski.

Hieronim Derdowski injected polish culture and practices into the Kaschubisch, solidifying them as a sect of polish rather than their own ethnic minority, and beyond that they are useless to the Polish cause. Proclaiming that they are now polish helped cement you claim on the Danzig area, but after world war one, specifically in the city of Danzig, there were more Germans in the area than Kaschubisch! Your claims to the Kaschubisch lands was superficial at best, and then when Derdowski came along you lot intigrated them and just called them polish, using this group that's switched hands a shitton of times and claiming they're polish, yet on the larger scale of things forcing Kaschubisch Americans to learn polish culture, because they were no longer Kaschubisch, they were polish.
None of this also changes the fact that Danzig was a German city, and was not built by the Poles or the Kaschubisch. While it's true it was founded by the poles sometime in the 900's, in the 1300's when it was just a small town the Teutonic Knights sacked it and it's population became Germanic. Even when Poland took it back during the Kingdom of Poland it remained a free city not under the rule of any king, because you could no longer call the city polish. This remained true all the way up until Prussia annexed it, and until the end of the 2nd world war where the Russians raped and killed the rest of the German population there. The entirety of the Architecture is German. The city was built up into a city by Germans. It is largely a german city, without it's german populace, because you lot saw it fit to forcibly exile and kill all of them.

You, my friend, have an incredibly solid grasp on Germanic history. I like you. When Kaschubisch was rebuilt the locality was improved via Saxon-Romanesque styled designs: canals and waterways that wouldn't flood, long lasting roads that didn't turn to shit in fall or winter, homes that were expected to last 500 years or more. Sad to see it's state now.

Even in today's Germany's cucked state, we'd still probably win. Germany's military is quite a bit ahead of Poland's, not to mention that a shitton of polish equipment is either outdated or German anyway, and we actively build counters to our own weapons. Secondly, the only geographical obstacle actually protecting Poland is the river Oder, while Germany's south is quite hard to traverse, so even if the polish managed a breaktrhough they'd have a hard time capitulating all of it, especially if we decided to retreat to Bavaria. On the other side, the Germans only really need to cross two rivers, the rest is practically plains, which is ideal tank fighting ground, which we've always excelled at.
>>89572
It's sad to see the entire state of Prussia on the other half of that river. What's left of Königsberg that's still German is magnificent, but everything around it is communistic and falling apart, typical of Russia. Stettin is practically still a German city, especially since it's so close to the boarder, the polish barely have a claim on it. Danzig is the only case you can even make an argument for it not being German any longer, and that's because the entire German population was expelled and resettled by expelled polish out of western Ukraine.
