"BASED" doesn't just mean "good" or aesthetic, ESL. It doesn't even mean "of the White variety".

These for example are "based architecture". A giant 'fuck you' erected the local government that this guy doesn't like. Donald's renovation of the White House to his liking with great consideration in to how it would anger his enemies, even if it gave the world stage a means to ridicule him, is based architecture. Catholics building big cathedrals from within the safety of Catholic borders to the approval of everyone is not 'based'.

>Building a cathedral is not based
Cathedrals can take multiple generations of investment and labour from the flock to build. They are based to a higher degree, even if they are in the safety of catholic borders now, the flock building it knows there's no bigger fuck-you sign to heretics than a cathedral. Their work was meant to be shoved in the face of haters and doubters for hundreds of years.

So easy and cheap to build too. One day I want to build one on some desert land and get an off grid workshop going.

I wouldn't want to do it alone. I would invite anons to live on my property and park trailers or build earth ships put down some solar panels/solar Stirling engines and do open source projects with me.

i think 'desert' is not really my interest, i wanna see some colors.
my dad has some land in north,i might be able to build something like that in the future.
North is very green due to being near to caspian sea.
the only problems that comes from with it is that there it rains 13 months of the year (1 month is just water dropping from roof, counts as rain.) and it has so many diet versions of aussies' insects. but overall it has quite the charm and view.

What I like about the desert is the abundance of solar power and building materials for earth ships. The desert is also the second most ecologically diverse land biome (first being the rainforest) so bioprospecting is an option. I just made a homesteading thread so we can move this conversation there.

Does anyone know anything about cob construction? From what I've read it's basically just digging up earth and mixing it with sand and straw and whatever to form a building material that's supposed to be really durable. It's basically how simple houses have been built for thousands of years.
