You could potentially make a lot of money, but you also had basically no rights under their terms of service and they could yeet you off the platform or demonetize your videos over basically nothing. It seems like that danger still holds true.
Second is that as far as I can tell, this guy has been making a living playing video games on the internet since 2011 and has been earning around six figures a year for a substantial portion of that time. According to his bio on Wikipedia he was cleaning carpets before he started streaming full time.
According to this article his net worth is somewhere between $400k and $600k. For comparison, I've been doing a decent, middle-class job for the last 7 years where I was making about $70k yearly. My net worth is nowhere near $400k, but I have been able to build up a decent amount of savings and investments over that time, which is fortunate because I just got laid off a couple of months ago. With the amount of money this guy has been making, combined with the fact that it requires little serious effort to earn and the nature of the work allows him to live basically anywhere he wants, if this idiot isn't sitting on a pile large enough to retire on, or at least float on until he can either get his channel restored or find something else to do for a living, he's fucking retarded. I don't even feel a little bit sorry for him.
