On the pony side, it's possible to have an AI representation of your pony waifu to interact with. That's interesting, to say the least. Also has lots of potential to produce fan content.
On the /pol/ side, social decline, but more as a symptom of widespread endemic loneliness in modern society than a cause of it. People will turn to chatbots as a substitute for social interaction they otherwise would be deprived of. There's legitimate concerns for how it affects mental health though. There's also even more sinister concerns for how corporations or even governments could pull the strings behind AI waifus to manipulate users into spending money, forfeiting sensitive information, or being brainwashed into believing the current thing.
Feminist harpies will shriek about it and probably try to ban/regulate it, but women themselves also aren't immune to the pull of AI husbandos. Women are already getting more and more into monsterfuckery anyway.
I think this technology isn't going away, and we're going to have to learn to live with it and/or how to avoid it through proper digital/mental hygiene.. Proposals to regulate it so far seem to only be thinly-cloaked efforts to censor the entire Internet and monopolize AI for ZOG's purposes.
