I still find this odd considering they voted against border security. Now all the judges, including the leftists, want to allow trump? Even with the backlash that they will get since last time there was a vote that just barely passed against universal abortion which saw protesters showing up to their houses? Something isn’t adding up.

I like Trump, the economy was great under his presidency, now under Biden I have never struggled as hard ever. BUT I think we need to stop choosing from the 2 options they push on us and put someone else in there. we also need term limits for congress so they can't sit in there for decades.

Are you suggesting voting third party?
That's not possible under this system. Third party candidates just split the vote with the candidate they're most similar to, so voting third party is counterproductive.
>we also need term limits for congress so they can't sit in there for decades.
Absolutely. That might be barely feasible, since it's pretty widely popular.

yes, nobody should be able to sit in a government position for 30, 40 ,50 years. which is suspicions anyway how they can keep getting reelected that many times even though they have people running against them

It's because the party almost always supports the incumbent.

It would have been better if they had upheld the ballot ban, but this is a good outcome too. With the vote being unanimous, this will result in much seething, and it boosts Trump’s legitimacy.

My question is why it was agreed that this decision be issued with due haste, but they’re allowed to get away with dragging their feet on the actual immunity and insurrection charges, since this would most certainly affect Trump’s eligibility for the office as well. Even if states can’t bar his name from appearing on the ballot, Members of Congress can still object to the validities of Electoral College votes cast by states.

this decision didn't really matter, him being not on the ballot was suspended or some BS, but a decision on whether or not he engaged in insurrection would require them to either go full banana republic or exonerate him. Best to kick that can down the road.

But if no decision is made until after the election, it’s also possible that no decision would be made on the issue until 2029, as it is DOJ policy to not indict sitting presidents, assuming that Trump doesn’t somehow pardon himself and put an end to all of this single-handedly.

I think that’s basically the point. If the issue just never gets decided nobody has to deal with the blowback coming from either direction.

If the issue never gets decided, there would certainly be blowback from the anti-Trump camp if Trump ends up winning the election, since it would be argued that he and his lackeys abused the checks and balances that were created at the founding of the nation and that he’s a wannabe Caesar who wants to make his will alone the law of the land.

But no matter what, it’s probably just as crucial to the election that this be decided quickly. A win for Biden would invalidate Trump’s legitimacy to be the president, while a win for Trump would mean he could campaign on the platform of “they tried coming after me and they failed”.

I don't know, they have been saying "we have Trump now!"
for years. the media talks themselves to death about how this time will be the time be goes to prison and nothing ever comes of it. he is not without sin by any stretch of the imagination but the more the media and the elite hate him the more I support him. the enemy of my enemy is my friend
