My understanding is that there are two possible ways things can play out.

1: Trump did nothing wrong.

2: Trump did obstructe the investigation, and Comey gets thrown into federal prison for committing the felony of failing to immediately report the obstruction of justice.

Along the way I expect Comey to talk shit about Trump, but I'm confident that the conclusion will be a quiet "but Trump didn't actually do anything wrong" that the media will ignore.

If it's any consolation, I think that only the never-Trump cultists take the media seriously at this point. Most of the moderates that I know lost their last shred of respect for the media after the "Two Scoops" incident.
