The network map was posted in late 2020 by an unknown group. The group claimed to have war-driven Portland during 2018 and 2019 using an open wi-fi and/or cell site simulators that Antifa connected to. They analyzed the network traffic to make the connections. The group also hinted that they were present at the 2020 riots. They may have also looked at social media connections. The alternative conspiracy theory is that the data is an intentional leak by the FBI or PPB but this is unproven. Both groups have Stingray technology.
Our group found several interesting things about the core factions of Rose City Antifa. There are three main factions, the Marquez gang, Von Gilbert / Smith gang and the Tristan Isaac crew (AFAIK, none of these groups refer to themselves using these terms).
The Von Gilbert faction is probably the largest and is composed mostly of armchair radicals. Very few members of the Von Gilbert clique have been arrested at riots and few have any sort of criminal record. They’re the intellectuals of RCA. Many are well educated and have real jobs. Approximately half of the Von Gilberts are members or at least associates of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). There are also several Democratic Party politicians in this group. They tend to focus on tenant and labor issues. Von Gilberts practices poor OPSEC compared to the Marquez faction and they were quite easy to doxx
The Tristan Isaac (Tristan Romine-Mann) faction is smaller than either the Von Gilberts or Marquez’ group. They’re more active at protests than the Von Gilberts as some members protest and have been arrested. Many members of this clique are environmentalists.
Marquez’ faction is composed of the hardest core Rose City Antifa members and could be considered the core of Portland’s Antifa community. Some known Marquez associates don’t show up in the network, perhaps because their OPSEC is really good or else they don’t use social media apps. Numerous members of Marquez’ gang have had brushes with the law. They have a variety of left-wing advocacy interests. This group practices good OPSEC and was difficult to doxx. Many of the names on the network as pseudonyms.

It's not exactly novel. Cops have been intercepting cell traffic at least since around Y2K even if it wasn't widely known. I have to assume intelligence agencies were using the technique long before.

Ya, we have all the network maps that were posted online. The problem with the non-truncated maps is that they include many small fish who really aren't that important. We wanted to doxx the big fish first. Someone counted the number of people in the big map and there were over 8,000. We just don't have the manpower to doxx those many people.

Just an update from the OP. Our group is currently working on a project to thoroughly doxx the people who attended the Unite the Right counter-protest. The list of radicals at the rally was posted several years ago but there was very little follow-up by the right and the only info known about most of the Antifa is their name. We have started posting the doxxes on Antifawatch.net and will post summaries to this board and others once the project is complete several months from now.

We waited a further 15 minutes for our waitress to arrive and another 15 minutes for her to come back to take our order. The food came out quickly but sadly my steak was overdone. I asked it to be cooked medium rare but it was more than medium. The waitress copped an attitude when I asked her to take it back but finally she relented. I waited a full 30 minutes for the replacement steak to arrive. It was tender but rather tasteless ... blah blah blah"
